  • Publication number: 20250043155
Abstract: A paper based overlay is provided. The overlay has a paper impregnated with a resin composition having an acrylic resin having a glass transition temperature in a range of from about ?20° C. to about 40° C. and a resin content from about 15 to about 35 wt. % based on the weight of the overlay and an adhesive is applied at the back of a substrate. The acrylic composition may include wax in the amount of about 0.005 to about 3.5 wt. % based on the weight of the resin composition. A method of producing the overlay is also provided. The overlay is highly water and abrasion resistant with low volatile content.

  • Publication number: 20070241943
Abstract: A reflection-based optical encoding apparatus for the detection of position and/or motion of a mechanical device includes an encoding medium having at least a first reflective portion, and an encoder housing having a light-emitting source and a light-detecting sensor embedded within, the encoder housing being placed in proximity to the encoding medium such that a functional light path can be established from the light-emitting source to the light-detecting sensor via the first reflective portion of the encoding medium. The encoder housing includes a first flat facet positioned between the light-emitting source and the encoding medium, the first flat facet having a first angle relative to a common geometric plane such that light passing from the light-emitting source to the encoding medium is refracted along a first angled path in a manner that the refracted light strikes a desired location of the encoding medium.

  • Publication number: 20060182024
Abstract: A frame relay data rate RFR for a VoIP call is determined based on a particular packetization time interval TS and its associated sample data size BS for a particular CODEC, a size BHT of at least one of a frame relay header and a frame relay trailer, and a size BIP of an IP header. A number of VoIP calls NUMVOIP that can be supported by a frame relay access link is determined based on a bandwidth of the frame relay access link that is to be allocated to VoIP traffic, and the frame relay data rate RFR. At least one network parameter is determined based on NUMVOIP. Bandwidth in an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network is allocated for the VoIP traffic based on the at least one network parameter.
