  • Patent number: 11179803
Abstract: A laser processing apparatus includes a light source, a laser head configured to emit a laser beam, a robot configured to move the laser head, and a control apparatus configured to control start and stop of generation of the laser beam and control operation of the robot. The control apparatus controls the light source to generate the laser beam when a first time has elapsed after causing the robot to start an operation of accelerating the laser head such that a movement speed of the laser head with respect to a processing target object reaches a constant target speed.

  • Publication number: 20180009165
Abstract: A laser beam is irradiated onto material powder on a manufacturing table to solidify the material powder and form a solidified layer. The material powder is further deposited on the solidified layer and the laser beam is irradiated onto one part of the material powder to solidify the material powder. They are repeated to manufacture a manufactured object. An irradiation output value of the laser beam is determined based on measurement information regarding a deposition surface before depositing the material powder or regarding a surface state of the material powder after deposition that is acquired by a camera. Alternatively, the aforementioned irradiation output value is determined based on parity information regarding a number of solidified layers that were already solidified by irradiation of the energy beam, or determined in accordance with an irradiation output value used when solidifying a solidified layer solidified prior to deposition of the deposited material powder.

  • Patent number: 8867036
Abstract: A laser light deflection amount detecting apparatus detects an amount of deflection of laser light and includes a laser light source, a first polarizing beam splitter that splits the laser light emitted by the laser light source, an optical system that rotates at least one of linearly polarized components around an optical axis orthogonally and that acquires a combined light of the linearly polarized components at least one of which is rotated, a light blocking member, a second polarizing beam splitter, and two light receiving elements that measure an amount of light of the polarized components resulting from the splitting by the second polarizing beam splitter.

  • Patent number: 8559019
Abstract: A beam splitter splits a laser beam emitted from a laser light source into a first laser beam that travels toward an object and a second laser beam. The second laser beam is received by a second photodetector. The second photodetector is positioned such that the light quantity of the second laser beam incident on the second photodetector is equal to that of the first laser beam incident on a first photodetector. A position calculator calculates displacement of the object relative to the laser light source on the basis of the difference between an output of the first photodetector and an output of the second photodetector.
