The head includes a skin stimulator, with an outward skin treatment surface configured to contact a user's skin. The device includes a controller configured to provide a skin treatment output signal to the head. In response to the output signal, the skin treatment surface stimulates a user's skin. The skin treatment surface comprises a surface roughness of at least about N3 (e.g., about N3 to about N12).
