  • Publication number: 20240103156
Abstract: A system and method for satellite imaging are provided. The system includes a first satellite, a trailing satellite, and a ground terminal. The first satellite acquires synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image data in a first predetermined signal frequency band at a first imaging location and transmits the SAR image data to a ground terminal. The ground terminal determines a second imaging location from the SAR image data and transmits the second imaging location to the trailing satellite. The trailing satellite acquires higher resolution image data in a second predetermined signal frequency band at the second imaging location and transmits the image data to the ground terminal. Systems and methods for satellite imaging are also provided in which a first satellite captures image data and processes the image data onboard to generate a processed product which is transmitted to a receiving terminal at a ground terminal or on a second satellite.

  • Patent number: 11898351
Abstract: A joist tie may be designed to increase the strength of the joist tie and reduce the thickness of the joist tie, in order to provide the desired strength and the ability to make connections that operatively couple structural decking, the joist tie, and joists together using a single connector in one or more locations. The joist tie may be strengthened through the use of one or more ribs and/or one or more flanges. The one or more ribs may be formed to fit within one or more cavities within adjacent joists located in series. As such, the shape of the joist tie may be dimensioned in order to allow the joist tie to be placed on a first joist and a second joist without having to be attached until after assembly of the structural decking on top of the joist tie and joists.

  • Publication number: 20230140818
Abstract: Described are methods for treating cancers overexpressing hyperpolarization activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel (HCN) isoforms HCN1, HCN2, HCN3, and/or HCN4. The cancers are treated by administering to a subject in need of treatment an effective amount of an HCN inhibitor. The HCN inhibitor can be an inhibitor of HCN1, HCN2, HCN3, or HCN4, or an inhibitor that inhibits any combination of HCN1, HCN2, HCN3, and HCN4. The described methods are useful for reducing tumor size, putting cancer in remission, and reducing or stopping proliferation of cancer stem cells.

  • Patent number: 10648167
Abstract: The invention relates to panelized system for a structure. The panelized system typically comprises a plurality of joists structured to be operatively coupled to one or more support members of the structure. Each of the plurality of joists are associated with a joist seat comprising a toe and one or more joist apertures. Typically, at least one or more of a plurality of joist seats are operatively coupled to the one or more support members using a toe weld between the toe and the one or more support members. However, an aperture weld between the one or more joist apertures and the support members is omitted. Moreover, a fastener between the one or more joist apertures and the support members is also omitted.

  • Patent number: 10029882
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to a looped pile film roll core used for winding a polymeric film, a method of winding film on the looped pile film roll core, and a roll of film that includes the looped pile film roll core. The disclosure describes an article and a process to reduce the core impressions created by the starting end of a web on the adjacent web layers next to the core. In one particular embodiment, the present disclosure can lead to a reduction in the amount and severity of such core impressions on a wound polymeric film, by reducing the amount of stress in adjacent layers of wound web.

  • Patent number: 9909231
Abstract: A method for recharging a crucible with polycrystalline silicon comprises adding flowable chips to a crucible used in a Czochralski-type process. Flowable chips are polycrystalline silicon particles made from polycrystalline silicon prepared by a chemical vapor deposition process, and flowable chips have a controlled particle size distribution, generally nonspherical morphology, low levels of bulk impurities, and low levels of surface impurities. Flowable chips can be added to the crucible using conventional feeder equipment, such as vibration feeder systems and canister feeder systems.
