  • Patent number: 4121578
Abstract: A control mechanism for regulating the proportion of a first and second fluid in a breathable fluid by measuring the physiological needs associated with the instantaneous operational parameter of an individual recipient.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 4, 1976
Date of Patent: October 24, 1978
    Assignee: The Bendix Corporation
    Inventor: Terence August Torzala
  • Patent number: 4101298
Abstract: A control system for sequentially connecting a pressurized fluid mixture to first and second beds of adsorption material to separate a component from the fluid mixture and produce a product effluent. A first valve mechanism allows the fluid mixture to flow to the first bed and a portion of the product effluent to purge the component from the second bed in a first portion of a mode of operation. A second valve mechanism allows the fluid mixture to flow to the second bed and a portion of the product effluent to purge the component from the first bed in a second portion of the mode of operation. A first sensor develops a first signal corresponding to the fluid pressure of the product effluent in the first bed and a second sensor develops a second signal corresponding to the fluid pressure of the product effluent in the second bed.
    Type: Grant
