Publication number: 20160206768Abstract: A method and apparatus that produces formulated iodine enriched water for use with multiple applications. The iodine enriched water is transformed through humidification processes within a mobile device producing iodine enriched air within a room or establishment. A portable iodine container can be used to receive the iodine enriched water for use in disinfection applications to the atmosphere and surfaces and in nebulizing applications. The iodine enriched water can include vitamins and/or minerals, if desired.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2014Publication date: July 21, 2016Inventor: Terence F. MULLINS

Publication number: 20140342041Abstract: A combination micro-filtration halogen apparatus safely delivers drinking water by metering doses of concentrated aqueous iodine into a filtered water supply contained within a chamber. Untreated water is poured into the water filter column that allows for gravity to force the water through filters and the filtered or purified water depending on the filters is stored within a lower chamber of the column for disinfection. An aqueous iodine roller metering system controls the amount of iodine dispensed from an aqueous iodine container to the filter column. Turning the roller mechanism accurately meters a selected dose of concentrated aqueous iodine from the iodine container into the lower chamber of the water column. The active residual iodine disinfectant kills microbes in the filtered or purified water making it safe to consume and prevents recontamination. The iodinated drinking water also provides for essential daily human micronutrient requirements.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2014Publication date: November 20, 2014Applicant: NEET Innovations, LLCInventor: Terence F. Publication number: 20140271925Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing aqueous iodine solutions to be used as a surface and aerosol disinfectant under continuous and dynamic flow conditions for medical applications comprises dissolving iodine into a first water flow thereby producing a concentrated aqueous iodine solution. The iodine solution is stored and then blended with a second water flow to produce a predetermined iodine disinfectant concentration of aqueous iodine. The disinfectant concentration is then stored and chemically adjusted to polarize to the species of iodine. The disinfectant concentration is then thermodynamically adjusted to maximize retention and disinfection variables. The iodine disinfectant is then ready to be used in an application requiring disinfection using iodine.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2014Publication date: September 18, 2014Applicant: NEET Innovations, LLCInventor: Terence F. Patent number: 6139731Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing bacteria-free iodine-species-containing drinking water for farm animals under continuous dynamic water flow, comprising dissolving solid iodine into a first water flow to produce a saturated iodine species-containing aqueous solution at a pre-selected temperature; blending the saturated solution with a second water flow to produce a diluted iodine species bacterium-free aqueous solution; and providing the diluted solution as drinking water to the animals. Preferably, the iodine is dissolved in the first water flow to provide a saturated iodine species at a pre-selected temperature at a known concentration, which saturated solution is then blended into a mean water flow. The continuous flow of iodine species-containing water is fed to a farm animal drinking water distribution network with reduced risk of back-contamination by bacteria-containing water through the network.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1999Date of Patent: October 31, 2000Assignee: Iosolutions IncorporatedInventors: Wayne A. Harvey, Terence F. Mullins, Daniel J. MacDonald

Patent number: 6120812Abstract: A method of preserving without bacterial spoilage and reducing the risk of bacterial contamination during the storage and/or transfer of foodstuffs, comprising treating said foodstuff or the locus of said foodstuff with a bacterially- effect amount of iodinated ice. The method is of particular value in the preservation of fish and fish products.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1998Date of Patent: September 19, 2000Assignee: IoSolutions IncorporatedInventors: Wayne A. Harvey, Terence F. Mullins, Daniel J. MacDonald
