  • Patent number: 7655911
Abstract: An image sensor is provided that includes a focal plane array; a cold shield having a top wall disposed over the focal plane array and defining an aperture operatively configured to be selectively switched between a first diameter and a second diameter that is larger than the first diameter; and a filter element disposed between the cold shield aperture and the focal plane array. The filter element includes a first band-pass filter and a second band-pass filter. The first band-pass filter is disposed directly beneath the cold shield aperture when the cold shield aperture is switched to the first diameter or the second diameter. The second band-pass filter is covered by the top wall of the cold shield when the cold shield aperture is switched to the first diameter and is disposed directly beneath the cold shield aperture when the cold shield aperture is switched to the second diameter.

  • Publication number: 20020096969
Abstract: A piezo actuator drive circuit (100) adapted to be calibrated in a voltage mode. The present invention achieves technical advantages as a piezo actuator driver that can be calibrated in the voltage mode by switching a drive amplifier (42) output to a high impedance state and driving a load Cpiezo with a fixed current source (Iref) to characterize the load. Preferably, feedback resistors (R1, R2) configured as a resistive divide network are used as a sensor feeding and analog to digital converter.

  • Publication number: 20020084717
Abstract: A piezo actuator drive circuit (40) adapted to be sensed in both a charge and voltage mode. The present invention achieves technical advantages as a piezo actuator driver (200) that can be sensed in the charge mode by switching a drive amplifier (42) output to a high impedance state to characterize a load. Preferably, feedback resistors (R3, R4) configured as a resistive divide network are used as a sensor feeding an analog-to-digital converter. A DC restore amplifier (44) forming a portion of a closed loop feedback is selectively reconfigured in the sensing mode to an open loop feedback and forms a portion of the sensing circuitry.
