    Abstract: A new and improved open mesh plant soil protector apparatus includes a first half-cover assembly which includes a first open mesh portion adapted to cover an approximately first half of a quantity of soil in a potted plant. The first half-cover assembly also includes a first pot-encompassing portion connected to the first open mesh portion. The first pot-encompassing portion is adapted to encompass an approximately first half of a pot circumference. A second half-cover assembly includes a second open mesh portion adapted to cover an approximately second half of a quantity of soil in a potted plant. The second half-cover assembly also includes a second pot-encompassing portion connected to the second open mesh portion. The second open mesh portion is adapted to encompass an approximately second half of a pot circumference.
