  • Patent number: 9665645
Abstract: A system for managing a communications log of audio data transmissions received and/or transmitted by an ownship aircraft includes a display screen, a memory operable to store audio signals and data associated with audio data transmissions, and a processor coupled to the display screen and to the memory. The processor determines the transmission frequency and time of receiving each received audio data transmission and creates a plurality of discrete display messages that include text identifying the determined frequency and time of receiving each received audio data transmission. The processor causes the discrete display messages to be displayed on the display, where they are selectable for playback by a user. Once selected, the processor generates an audio reproduction of the stored audio signals associated with the selected discrete display messages.
