Abstract: A vehicle anti-lock braking system includes at least one automatic hydraulic brake adjuster (AHBA) coupled in flow communication with at least one braking mechanism configured to interact with a vehicle wheel. The system also includes at least one pressure regulating device coupled in flow communication with the at least one AHBA. The system further includes at least one wheel speed sensor coupled to the vehicle wheel. The system also includes a control unit communicatively coupled to the at least one pressure regulating device and the at least one wheel speed sensor. The control unit is configured to actuate the at least one pressure regulating device at least partially as a function of the rotational speed of the vehicle wheel.
