  • Patent number: 11934161
Abstract: System and method provide wireless distributed lighting control systems implementing a secure peer-to-peer, self-organizing and self-healing mesh network of actuators and system inputs. The system and method can be designed specifically for indoor and outdoor lighting where actuators include in-fixture, on-fixture and circuit control modules with ON/OFF and full range dimming capabilities, and system inputs include occupancy/vacancy sensors, daylight sensors and switches. A unique messaging protocol facilitates wireless and wired communication between actuators and system inputs, and provides web-based commissioning and monitoring of the lighting control system using a wireless access point accessible from a local network or Internet which can provide an intuitive and easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI).

  • Publication number: 20230168058
Abstract: In some embodiments, a firearm muzzle device comprises a body comprising an internal passageway comprising a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises a larger cross-sectional area than the second portion. A plurality of first vents are each in fluid communication with the first portion. A plurality of second vents are each in fluid communication with the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20220307788
Abstract: In some embodiments, a fire control mechanism comprises a hammer, a trigger and a safety. The hammer is rotatable about a hammer axis. The trigger is rotatable about a trigger axis and arranged to contact the hammer. The safety is arranged to interfere with rotation of the trigger. The safety comprises a second portion moveable with respect to a first portion.

  • Patent number: 7143680
Abstract: A recoil and muzzle blast dissipator may be attached to the barrel of a gun and may redirect propellant gasses. In one embodiment, a recoil and muzzle blast dissipater may include a body portion having an internal plenum and a plurality of vent slots, each vent slot having an aperture in communication with the internal plenum. Each successive vent slot may include an aperture that is larger in area than the aperture of the previous vent slot. An exterior tube may include a side port and may be arranged to overlay the body portion such that a portion of each vent slot is covered by the exterior tube, and a portion of each vent slot is in communication with the side port.

  • Patent number: 6570485
Abstract: A transducer packaging assembly for use in a sensing unit subjected to high forces of acceleration includes a base having a cavity. A pressure sensitive semiconductor die is bonded to a large backplate having a shape so that it nestles into the cavity but is spaced from a surface of the cavity. A planar cover secured to the base has a hole larger than the die but smaller than the backplate, and thin wires extend from the die to electrical connections on the assembly. A viscous fluid fills a space between the backplate and the cavity, and a space between the backplate and the cover, and transmits a pressure to be measured to the pressure sensitive die. The viscous fluid has a sufficiently high viscosity to oppose movement of the backplate relative to the cavity while cushioning the pressure sensitive die and the backplate from forces of acceleration.

  • Patent number: 5514839
Abstract: A termination for a flexible circuit having flat conductive strips integrally bonded to a flexible substrate. The conductive strip has a termination portion located adjacent an aperture in the substrate. The termination portion has a connection tab, with the termination portion and the connection tab lying in a plane. The termination is for connection to a conductive element end which extends through the aperture. The connection tab is formed into a shape outside the plane with the connection tab engaging the conductive element where it is secured by welding to the conductive element.

  • Patent number: 5459351
Abstract: An absolute pressure sensor subassembly includes a top cap bonded to a pressure sensor die and enclosing a reference vacuum. The subassembly is initially held in place within a housing by a vacuum or sublimeable solid adhesive while wire bonds from the subassembly to the housing leads are completed. A self-contained adhesive drop on the inner surface of the housing cover contacts the sensor subassembly when the cover is placed on the housing body and the sensor subassembly is supported by the adhesive drop.
