  • Patent number: 8777445
Abstract: A candle cover is disclosed which includes a tubular sheath of light-filtering material with a top end, a bottom end, and an opening at each end. A hem surrounds each opening. The tubular sheath is place over a candle body such that light transmitted through the candle body from the candle light source is filtered by the tubular sheath of light-filtering material to create a decorative pattern. The light-filtering material can filter light in many different ways, including by modifying the percent of light transmitted through the material, by modifying the percent of light reflected by the material, by modifying the color of light reflected or transmitted by the material, or by light refraction or light diffraction.
