  • Patent number: 8898865
Abstract: An improved seatbelt adjuster for holding the lap seatbelt to the shoulder belt of an automobile seatbelt. The seatbelt adjuster prevents the shoulder belt from rubbing against the neck of a wearer. The adjuster is made of a single unitary piece and therefore cannot be separated. A frame member formed of resilient material has a front portion, rear portion, top edge, bottom edge and space between the front and back portions for containing the lap seatbelt. A parallel pair of dual gussets and rails is molded into the back portion to increase the stiffness of the flap member particularly to prevent it spreading open in hot weather. A snap clip has been added to the flap to avoid inadvertent release in hot weather. A horn gate has been added to the slot to prevent snagging on clothing.

  • Publication number: 20130216981
Abstract: A 3D pin tactile device has a device housing, an imaging radar operatively installed in the device housing for detecting surface contours of the object, and an array of pins mounted in a pin mounting screen. An actuation system is adapted for moving each of the array of pins such that a head of the each of the array of pins collectively match the contours of the object. In this manner, the blind person can perceive the object by feeling the heads of the array of pins.

  • Patent number: 6112619
Abstract: A hand wheel cover for a valve on a gas bottle or cylinder provides a better grip for the hand wheel and also has a larger area for indicating opening and closing rotational directions. In another embodiment an indicator hand wheel cover has an indicator that shows whether a hand wheel is open or closed and has a positive lock when the cover is in the open position with a release to fill a top portion of the cover and return it to provide an indication that the valve is closed.

  • Patent number: 5711564
Abstract: A scoop apparatus for removing animal faeces from a litter box has a channel shaped configuration to permit easy cleaning rather than a tubular shape. Also the scoop has a retaining section for holding the faeces and stop them falling out of the scoop. The apparatus has an open channel shaped scoop member with side walls having substantially in line top edges, the side walls have bottom edges joined to a base; an entry lip at one end of the scoop member is in line with the top edges of the side walls leading to a substantially flat receiving portion sloped down to the base of the scoop member. A plurality of diamond shaped sifting openings are provided in the receiving portion for sifting out litter particles, and the scoop member has a handle portion adjacent the receiving portion with a width less than the receiving portion, and an exit at the end of the scoop member opposite the entry lip, adapted to have a disposable bag attached thereto.
