  • Publication number: 20240065183
Abstract: Grape vines may grow on a trellis comprising a series of wires supported by a line of posts, but it is difficult to machine-prune vines after harvest without interference from wires. A trellis having primary posts and secondary posts may support vines in a manner that cane growing from vine's cordons can be readily removed. Between each neighing pair of primary posts there are at least two secondary posts. A cordon wire runs along and is supported by the posts at or adjacent to top. Cordons of vines are connected to, and grow along, wire such that most foliage and grapes forming part of vines grow below wire. Wire is held by posts above ground level in a manner to be non-destructively pulled upwards to free it from posts. This may occur after cordons have been severed from rest of vine and may then be readily stripped from wire.

  • Patent number: 6986348
Abstract: The germ and noise filter device is a disposable, hand held filter apparatus that covers the mouth of the user during the exhale phase of a cough. The device comprises: a body with a cavity that houses three micro-filters; a corrugated tube; two one-way valves and a mesh screen. The body can be made of durable plastic material that may be transparent or a combination of many attractive colors. The two one-way valves act as a filter element for the noise that would normally occur. An eyelet is formed on the body to allow the device to be worn about the person. When a cough is eminent, the opening of the device is engaged against the user lips to prevent the transmission of air-borne diseases and reduce the noise of the coughs.

  • Patent number: 5601271
Abstract: An easy to use cargo restraining barrier device designed to keep items in a cargo area from moving around. The cargo restraining barrier is comprised of a vertical wall having peripheral flanges to hold and restrain packages. The flanges are provided with Velcro hook-type material to securely grip carpeting in a cargo storage area such as the trunk of a car. The flanges surrounding the vertical wall on the cargo restraining barrier also includes spikes, and are constructed to use the shape and weight of packages, boxes, food items or other items to hold the barriers in position. In the preferred embodiment the vertical wall and flanges are of a molded hollow plastic construction allowing multiple cargo restraining barriers to be stacked for storage. Optional embodiments provide hinged sections that fold to provide a vertical wall and flanges, and when unfolded, lie flat for storage.

  • Patent number: 5524980
Abstract: A medicine cabinet organizing insert comprised of a rectangular frame having a side wall, top wall and bottom walls with one side of the frame being open. A vertical divider in the rectangular frame divides the organizing insert into two vertical compartments. One compartment divided into approximately 60% of the organizer has a plurality of adjustable shelves. Two of the shelves have specially designed slots for storing particular toilet articles. The open side of the rectangular frame has scored areas to remove a portion of the frame for fitting narrower designed existing medicine cabinets. The medicine cabinet organizer is easily installed in existing medicine cabinets to replace existing shelves. With the shelves removed, the organizer may be simply placed in the opened cavity of existing medicine cabinets and secured with double faced adhesive tape or installed with mounting screws.
