    Abstract: A personal information access card has a PDF417 barcode with an image of the card user encoded therein. The image can be decoded and displayed at the time of presentation of the card to prevent card user misidentification. The barcode has an x-dimension, row height, data columns and a quiet zone which facilitates the use of a scanner to identify and read the barcode to decode the image.
