    Abstract: The present invention provides a medical safety device for holding a container. The medical safety device is used to hold the container while extracting liquid by a syringe from the container. The medical safety device includes a main body having an opening for an interior. The interior has a retention space configured for retaining a container. In addition, the main body includes a plunger having a retention surface configured for contacting and retaining a container in the retention space. The plunger slides up and down within the retention space. Two handles are affixed to opposing sides of the main body. The plunger and retention surface applies force to the container positioned within the retention space sufficient to hold the container in place within the retention space. The plunger may be biased down into the retention space by a spring attached to the plunger.

    Abstract: A safety device comprising a pair of elongated arms and means connected to each one of the arms for enabling the arms to be moved between an open orientation and a closed orientation. Each one of the arms includes a first end, a second end and a first size container receiving recess positioned between the first and second ends. The means for enabling the arms to be moved between the open orientation and the closed orientation is connected to each one of the arms is adjacent its first end. The first size container receiving recess of each one of the arms jointly define a first size container receiving receptacle when the arms are in the closed orientation.
