  • Patent number: 9336385
Abstract: A system and method for threat detection and management. The method includes: comparing the observed activity with a threat profile; generating a threat detection signal including threat information when the observed activity matches the threat profile; altering an operating characteristic of a client device in response to a threat response signal; receiving the threat information; evaluating the threat information; automatically determining an appropriate response to the threat detection signal based on an evaluation of the threat information; comparing the threat detection signal to known threat patterns; distributing new threat information if the threat detection signal does not match a known threat pattern; storing threat information; and providing a user interface information and controls for delivering control information over a control protocol.

  • Publication number: 20080036248
Abstract: A seating unit includes: a frame having arms on opposing sides thereof, the frame located in a first position relative to an underlying surface that supports the seating unit; a backrest; a seat; and a reclining mechanism attached to the frame, backrest and seat. The reclining mechanism comprises a series of pivotally interconnected links, the links configured and arranged to move the backrest and seat between an upright position, in which the seat is generally horizontally disposed and in a first location relative to the frame and the backrest forms a first angle with the seat, and a reclined position, in which the backrest forms a second angle with the seat, the second angle being smaller than the first angle, and the seat is in a second location relative to the frame that is forwardly of the first location.

  • Publication number: 20070252422
Abstract: A seating unit includes: a frame configured to rest on an underlying surface, the frame including a fixed seat, the frame further including a chaise storage cavity beneath the seat; a backrest attached to the frame; a chaise unit including a base and a chaise panel; a chaise extending assembly attached to the frame and to the chaise unit, the chaise extending assembly configured to move the chaise between a retracted position, in which the chaise unit is positioned in the chaise storage cavity, and an extended position, in which the chaise unit is positioned forwardly of the seat; and a chaise panel raising mechanism attached to the chaise unit base and to the chaise panel. The mechanism is configured to raise the chaise panel from a lowered position to a raised position, wherein in the raised position the chaise panel is located forwardly of the seat and is declined relative to the underlying surface.

  • Patent number: 5653923
Abstract: This invention produces three-dimensional shapes such as window lineals by first lining a foam die with a continuously moving reinforcing veil. Once the veil is in the foam die, a foam is blown into the die. The foam expands in the die forcing the veil against the die wall. The veil is selected so that the foam never fully penetrates the veil, but adheres to it. The material exiting the foam die is now properly shaped to enter the curing die. Resin is then injected onto the foam core where it penetrates the veil, is cured in the heated curing die and exits as a finished product of a plastic skin adhered to a foam core with a veil sandwiched therebetween.
