    Abstract: A portable container base for use with a powered lifting device is provided. The portable container base includes a main body to secure a bottom surface of a container such as a trash can, a plurality of wheels on a lower surface of the main body, each providing independent rotation for moving the main body and container across a surface, and a loading tube on a lower surface of the main body to slidably receive a loading spike of a lifting device, transfer a lifting force from the loading spike to the main body for lifting the container, and restrict movement of the main body around the loading spike during lifting by an interference fit between a circumferential shape of the loading tube and the loading spike, such that a drive mechanism can lift and tilt the container to easily transfer contents from the lifted container to a receiving container.
