  • Patent number: 4466209
Abstract: A muzzle-loading device for quickly reloading a gun. The device includes a relatively short ramrod-like shaft having an axial cap closed powder containing sleeve at one end provided with a catch retaining the device within a pocket. An open end sleeve is telescopically frictionally supported by the other end of the shaft with one end of the sleeve normally gripped by a nut slidably surrounding the shaft. A projectile cap closes the other sleeve end to form a projectile chamber in which the projectile protrudes axially beyond the end of the sleeve opposite the shaft. A percussion cap clip is supported by the projectile chamber cap.

  • Patent number: 4436024
Abstract: A spit is vertically adjustably supported at one end by horizontal coaxial tubular members and a vertically adjustable standard on a fireplace hearth. The other end of the spit is removably inserted into apertures formed in a post secured to the back wall of a fireplace for horizontally supporting the spit. A crank handle, having a set screw equipped hub, surrounds the end of the tubular members opposite the fireplace back wall permitting manual or rotisserie motor drive for the spit.

  • Patent number: 4303375
Abstract: In a rotary ventilator having a vertical shaft rotatably supporting a rain plate, a vertically movable ring, diametrically equal with the rain plate, surrounds the depending end portion of the shaft. A plurality of elongated vanes, vertically disposed in circumferentially spaced relation extend between the rain plate and movable ring and are supported for angular rotation about their vertical axes by the peripheral edge portion of the rain plate. The depending end portion of each vane is provided with a depending tab given a quarter twist about its vertical axis which projects through a cooperating slot formed in the peripheral edge portion of the movable ring. A lever, pivotally connected with the depending end portion of the shaft for vertical movement of its respective ends, lifts the movable ring toward the rain plate and imparts a partial angular rotation to the respective vanes, about their respective axis, from a normal open position to a ventilator closed overlapping position.
