Patent number: 11778292Abstract: A sensor shield for a digital camera includes a casing and lens locking ring on a front thereof. The sensor shield includes a barrier member removably coupled to the lens locking ring of the camera body and has a ring-shaped configuration that defines an aperture. The sensor shield has a plurality of iris blades that is rotatably movable between a closed configuration in arranged in an overlapping spiral configuration that prevents ambient air from flowing through said aperture and an open configuration at which said plurality of iris blades are arranged in a rotatably displaced configuration that, when actuated, allows ambient air to flow through its aperture. The sensor shield may receive a camera lens and is actuated by rotation thereof such that a spring is compressed and the iris blades are urged from the closed configuration to the open configuration that allows ambient air to pass through.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2023Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Inventor: Terry Edward Zaperach

Patent number: 11303660Abstract: A system and method prevent a networked computer connected to a secure network from executing malicious code. A data language system labels bits within the secure network; where each bit received from sources outside the secure network is labeled as data. Programs loading onto the networked computer from within the secure network are labeled as program code. A processor of the networked computer is modified to inhibit execution of instructions that have bits labeled as data. For a two-state or three-state bit computer, each bit is labeled by inserting/adding an adjacent label-bit to indicate data or program code. For four and higher bit state computers, two of the bit values (e.g., zero and one) are used for data and other bit values (e.g., two and three) are used for program code.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2019Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Inventor: Terry Edward Trees
