  • Patent number: 5046692
Abstract: A device 12 is provided for hangingly supporting a rainwater gutter 10 which has inturned top edges 20, 22. The device comprises a bracket 24 and a support member 42 pivotally attached thereto. The support member has opposite ends 48 which locate under the inturned top edges of the gutter when the member is pivoted to a predetermined position relative to the bracket.

  • Patent number: 4441745
Abstract: A plastic coupling pipe part for connecting corrugated plastic pipe comprises abutment projections and a radially resilient displaceable lip, carrying an inwardly directed cam. The lip is surrounded by openings delimited by a rectangular incision in the plastic pipe. The transition part connecting the lip with the pipe wall has a smaller width than the end edge of the lip.In a pipe connection with such a coupling pipe part the coupling cam engages a flank of a wave valley of a corrugated pipe.

  • Patent number: 4378177
Abstract: A gutter fitting 1 comprises a body member 2 defining a channel for receiving therein a gutter length. A sealing member 6 extends through a slot 8 in the body member and has a respective compressible sealing portion 9 extending transversely of the slot 8 on one or each side of the slot for providing a seal between the inside surface 10 of the body member and the outside surface of a gutter length (not shown) received in the channel. The sealing arrangement is particularly applicable to rectilinear gutter systems.

  • Patent number: 4297053
Abstract: A gutter fitting 1 comprises a body member 2 defining a channel for receiving a gutter length. A sealing member 6 extends through a slot 7 in the body member and has a sealing portion 10 for sealing against the gutter length and a retaining portion 11 which extends transversely of the slot 7 and is clamped in a passage 12 between the body member 2 and a clip 13 which snap fits over the opposite longitudinal edges--one edge 8 only shown--of the channel to clamp the gutter length in the channel. The sealing member is thereby adequately retained in the fitting against displacement.

  • Patent number: 4143884
Abstract: Sealing member for a spigot and socket coupling, comprising a retaining part, a sealing part extending with two steps within the space bound by the inner circumference of the retaining part and of the extension thereof and a connecting part interconnecting the retaining part and the sealing sleeve. At any point between the junction with the retaining part and the free end of the sealing sleeve, the thickness of the sealing member is not greater than the thickness of the part extending between said point and said junction. The thickness does not exceed the thickness of the sealing member at said junction. The inner side of the steps of the sealing member are provided with leakage-preventing ribs and the retaining part is substantially perpendicular to the connecting part, whilst the first step of the sealing sleeve is situated within the inner side of the retaining part. The end of the sleeve is provided with a tapered lip forming preferably a sort of sickle with the sealing member.
