  • Publication number: 20210060663
Abstract: A tool for removing a coating from an end of a coated conduit comprising a metallic conduit having an outer diameter and a polymeric material applied over the outer diameter thereof is provided. The tool comprises: a guide member having an outer diameter sized to fit within an internal diameter of the metallic conduit; and a cylindrical cutting member having a substantially closed first end rotatably connected to an arbor, a substantially open second end, and a plurality of teeth elements. The cylindrical cutting member has an inner diameter that is substantially equal to the outer diameter of the metallic conduit such that when the cylindrical cutting member is rotated, the teeth elements remove the polymeric material from the outer diameter of the metallic conduit.

  • Publication number: 20080005835
Abstract: A drain provides significant advantages over the prior art. A drain fabricated without seams can be easily cleaned and does not provide sites for bacterial growth. The cone and outlet sections of the drain are formed using a spinning process to eliminate the need for welds. The cone section includes a vertical interface lip, such that the outside of the cone section is welded to the rim, eliminating a weld on the interior of the cone. The weld between the rim and the cone section can be polished to eliminate imperfections on the top of the drain. The contour of the cone section also facilitates drainage, and hence reduces bacterial growth, by maintaining a downward slope on a smooth surface. For an embodiment with a membrane flange, dual walls are used such that the membrane flange can be welded to the outer wall of the drain, preventing the welding process from damaging the smoothness of the interior drain wall.

  • Patent number: 6298763
Abstract: An explosive device neutralization system includes a penetrating tip, a reaction stake, and a deployment mechanism. The reaction stake includes a reaction initiation material (R.I.M.) which is configured to burn, thereby dispersing burning R.I.M. beyond the reaction stake. The deployment mechanism and penetrating tip are configured to deliver a portion of the reaction stake adjacent to a bulk charge of the explosive device, such that the burning R.I.M. is dispersed to the bulk charge. The reaction stake includes a stake housing that encloses the R.I.M. proximate an egress hole in the stake housing. The reaction stake also includes an ignition system proximate the deployment mechanism. Upon activation of the deployment mechanism, the ignition system initiates burning of the R.I.M. The deployment mechanism can include a deployment charge that is connected to a detonator.
