  • Apparatus and method for treatment of discharged water and other fluids

    Abstract: A fluid treating apparatus includes a primary conduit defining a flow path for the fluid being treated. A column is connected to the pipe forming an inlet into the flow path. A reaction container having a perforated side wall enclosing a treating agent is positioned in the inlet and in the flow path. In preferred embodiments, the method and apparatus is for dechlorinating water prior to discharge. One or more aerators can also be mounted in the pipe to aerate water passing through the conduit upstream and/or downstream of the reaction container.
