  • Patent number: 5009848
Abstract: A water treatment dispensing apparatus for an engine cooling system, such as in a diesel locomotive, includes one or more probes for measuring the conductivity of the fluid circulating in the system. From the conductivity of the fluid, a determination of the level of concentration of treatment chemicals in the fluid can be ascertained. A comparator is utilized for determining whether, based on the conductivity readings of the fluid, the level of concentration of treatment chemicals in the fluid is at or above a desired level. When it is determined that the level of concentration has fallen below the desired level, a valve is actuated so as to divert a portion of fluid from the system to a chemical treatment dispensing apparatus. Simultaneously, an outlet valve is actuated to allow mixed fluid and chemical treatment to be routed back into the circulating system. The dispensing apparatus includes a housing adapted to receive a container for containing a quantity of chemical treatment therein.

  • Patent number: 4998850
Abstract: A detergent dispenser and method of using the dispenser are disclosed. One dispenser embodiment is a hydraulic type and the other a demand type. Both dispensers utilize a venturi valve in a controlled water line to draw gravity fed material such as a gel into the venturi valve, mix the material with the water in the valve, and deliver the resulting solution to a wash area. The demand dispenser has a conductivity sensor and control to control dispensing of detergent solution to the wash area.

  • Patent number: 4992107
Abstract: Gel dishwashing detergent compositions are prepared contaiing, by weight, from about 10% to 50% of one or more anionic surfactants, from about 8% to about 40% of a monoalkylolamide of a higher fatty acid, from about 3% to about 40% of a dialkylolamide of a higher fatty acid, and from about 10% to 50% water. A process for making the stable high viscosity detergent gel composition and avoiding phase separation is claimed.
