    Abstract: A substantially, environmentally safe pesticide comprising between about 3 and about 10% by weight of a surfactant, between about 1 and about 5% by weight of an alkali metal silicate and between about 5 and about 25% by weight of a mineral oil and the balance being water. The pesticide can also include between about 0 and about 30% by weight of one or more additional substances, wherein the none of the one or more additional substances is itself a pesticide. Preferably, the one or more substances is between about 1 and about 10% by weight of plant extract and about 0.2 and about 5% by weight of fish extract or a combination of both. The plant extract and fish extract function to negate the phytotoxicity of the other substances and to accelerate plant growth. The remainder of the pesticide is substantially water.
