A removable lid with a resilient "O" ring seal selectively covers and seals the opening in the container. A handle with an easy grip heat insulated end surface extending from the side of the central housing provides ease of handling the heated device. A wax spreader containing an electric heating element and a thermostat extends downward from the central housing. A selectively operable valve is provided for selectively releasing hot liquid wax from the container to the running surface of the ski.
