Patent number: 7216435Abstract: A spokeshave providing an easily used depth of cut adjustment that is simple, effective and requires no extra tool or blade removal for adjustment. The blade of the spokeshave is mounted on two posts that project normal to the back of the blade, and the posts are received in structures adjustably positioned within the spokeshave body. Adjustment of the positions of the post-receiving structures cause the blade to move toward or away from the body.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2005Date of Patent: May 15, 2007Assignee: Lee Valley Tools, Ltd.Inventors: Matthew Bruce Siemers, Terry Ross Saunders

Patent number: 6991050Abstract: The present invention discloses a drive wheel for placement on the front end of a boat trailer or the like which wheel both drives and steers a trailer into a position where the trailer tong can be connected to the rear end of the towing vehicle. The concept of the present invention may also be applied to other similar vehicles, such as trailers for hauling snowmobiles, woodcutters or water crafts and other heavy objects and possibly for travel trailers.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2003Date of Patent: January 31, 2006Inventors: Dana L. Sanford, Terry Ross, David Bagley

Patent number: 6708412Abstract: A bench plane jointer fence having a fence body secured to the side of any conventional ferromagnetic bench plane by two rare earth magnets mounted in the fence body and by the cooperation between a fence registration surface that bears against the sole of the plane and a repositionable stop screw. The fence is usable to facilitate planing of a workpiece edge square to an adjacent workpiece reference surface and may utilize a one-piece fence body. Planing of a workpiece edge at angles other than square to an adjacent workpiece reference surface is possible by pivoting a lower portion of the fence relative to an upper portion or, in the case of a one-piece fence body, by attachment of an auxiliary fence having a wedge-shaped cross section.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2001Date of Patent: March 23, 2004Assignee: Lee Valley Tools, Ltd.Inventors: Terry Ross Saunders, Leonard G. Lee

Patent number: 6638435Abstract: A disposable extended sump line having a pump end and a mouth end for removing water from a barge or other container. The mouth end has a double layered strainer basket covering its entrance. The pump end preferably has a valve which may be opened to introduce water into the sump line from above. The pump end of the line is also configured to connect to a pump, so that suction may be applied. The double layered strainer basket will keep the cargo away from the mouth end of the sump line and prevent clogging. By adding water to the sump line through the valve, the sump line may be primed quickly. Finally, by making the sump line from disposable materials, the problems of damage to the sump line during unloading may be overcome by simply discarding the sump line and replacing it with another before reloading.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2001Date of Patent: October 28, 2003Assignee: Louisiana Marine Systems, Inc.Inventor: Terry Ross Loreno

Patent number: 6615497Abstract: Bench planes of different sizes having interchangeable components and an adjustable frog providing full blade support with a frog foot that extends through the plane body mouth to terminate co-planer or nearly co-planer with the sole. The rear plane handle or tote is captured between and secured soley to tines projecting from the frog that is adjustably secured to alternative sizes of plane bodies in a manner permitting forward and backward adjustment of the frog position without removing the plane blade. Superior lateral blade position control is provided by set screws in the plane body and contacting blade side edges. Adjustments in the blade cutting angle without modifying the angle at which the blade is held by the frog in the plane may be made by forming a front bevel on the front surface of the blade.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2001Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Assignee: Lee Valley Tools, Ltd.Inventors: Terry Ross Saunders, Lloyd Sevack, Leonard G. Lee, Matthew Siemers, Edwin C. Tucker

Patent number: 6462736Abstract: A computer-implemented system (10) providing a three-dimensional display (30) includes at least one model (12) of an environment and at least one engine (14) operable to generate the display (30) using information associated with the model (12). The display (30) includes a graphical body (38) conveying a first value corresponding to a value of a variable, the variable value being identified according to an axis. The first value is conveyed according to a height (40) of the graphical body (38) at the variable value. The graphical body (38) conveys a second value corresponding to the variable value, the second value being conveyed according to a depth (42) of the graphical body (38) at the variable value. The graphical body (38) also conveys at least a comparison of the first value to a first comparison value according to an indicia (44) that is visible on the graphical body (38) at the variable value, the indicia (44) specified according to a predetermined scale.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2000Date of Patent: October 8, 2002Assignee: i2 Technologies US, Inc.Inventors: G. Patent number: 6370509Abstract: A method of displaying a production schedule in three dimensions. Time periods are displayed along an x-axis. Within each time period, an available-capacity rectangle has a width that is all or part of the width of the time period, such that the width represents the proportion of that time period during which capacity is available. Capacity-consuming rectangles are layered on top of the available-capacity rectangles, and include setup rectangles and production rectangles. The width of these rectangles represents the proportion of capacity consumed. The height of production rectangles represents production volume. Cost rectangles may be placed in front of the capacity consuming rectangles, and have a depth that represents relative monetary cost.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 1999Date of Patent: April 9, 2002Assignee: i2 Technologies US, Inc.Inventors: G. Patent number: 6243963Abstract: A dividing rule that allows the user to divide a workpiece into equal divisions with heightened accuracy and ease. The dividing rule is a plate with pins attached at the corners of the plate which help position the plate on the workpiece. Holes marked with appropriate divisions are located on the plate so that the user, to partition the workpiece into equal divisions, simply marks the workpiece using the holes that coincide with the desired number of divisions.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Lee Valey Tools, Ltd.Inventors: Steve K.
