  • Patent number: 11856884
Abstract: A header includes: a header frame; a cutter carried by the header frame; a roll disposed rearwardly of the cutter and configured to convey cut crop material rearwardly in a crop flow stream; a swath gate coupled to the header frame and movable between a spreading position and a converging position; a spreader coupled to the swath gate and configured to laterally spread the crop flow stream as the crop flow stream flows across the spreader; and a converger coupled to the swath gate and configured to converge the crop flow stream toward a centerline of the swath gate as the crop flow stream flows across the converger. The spreader and the converger are configured to not be in the crop flow stream at the same time, depending on the position of the swath gate.

  • Publication number: 20230363317
Abstract: An agricultural system includes: a frame; a control system operatively coupled with the frame, the control system including: at least one sensor configured for: detecting remotely at least one operative condition of a bale of a crop material after the bale has been ejected from a bale chamber of a baler; outputting at least one operative condition signal corresponding to the at least one operative condition; a controller system operatively coupled with the at least one sensor and configured for: receiving the at least one operative condition signal; determining at least one operative parameter based at least in part on the at least one operative condition signal, the at least one operative parameter being associated with a performance of the baler.

  • Patent number: 10306829
Abstract: A ground height gauge assembly is provided. The ground height gauge assembly includes a shaft configured to be rotatably coupled to the header. The ground height gauge assembly includes a first arm coupled to the shaft and configured to simultaneously rotate with the shaft, the first arm defining a first length. The ground height gauge assembly includes a second arm pivotally coupled to the shaft and defining a second length, the second arm configured to be mounted in a first position and a second position. The second length of the second arm is dimensioned greater than the first length of the first arm. In the first position the second arm is configured to rotate independently of the first arm. In the second position the second arm is configured to be coupled to the first arm such that rotation of the first arm simultaneously rotates the second arm.

  • Patent number: 10236718
Abstract: An agricultural machine and attachment combination has a wireless attachment connection for transmitting electronic information, commands, and electric power between the agricultural machine and attachment. An agricultural machine side control system having a wireless interface is connected to the agricultural machine and an attachment side control system having a wireless interface is connected to the attachment. Each interface has at least one inductively coupled communication receiver and at least one inductively coupled communication transmitter. The transmitters and receivers cooperate to transmit electronic information and commands between the agricultural machine side control system and the attachment side control system. A primary coil is connected to the agricultural machine for transmitting power to the attachment. A secondary coil is connected to the attachment for receiving power from the agricultural machine.

  • Patent number: 9625306
Abstract: A system and method for conveying agricultural material in a harvester. One harvester includes a rotor which rotates to separate a plant into a first agricultural material and a second agricultural material. A grate is disposed vertically below the rotor and further separates the first and second agricultural materials from one another. A first conveyor receives the first and second agricultural material directly from a trailing end of the rotor and a trailing end of the grate.
