  • Patent number: 6430814
Abstract: This invention is directed to various flexible-blade razors whose flexing and bending are assisted by the user's fingers These novel, flexible-blade razors are able to bend as deeply as required in order to conform to and closely shave convex, concave or flat surfaces of the body, in a single, full-width, shaving stroke.

  • Patent number: 4888887
Abstract: A suction-ventilated shoe system, which has air-exit ports located on the outer surface of said shoe, preferably in the midsole region, is provided. Said suction-ventilated shoe system contains a novel, multivented, suction-operated insole that enables the entire surface of said insole to be uniformly ventilated. Each air vent of said multivented, suction-operated insole contains its own independent, foot-operated, air-suction pump means, whose exhaust air is directed to exit the shoe via special air ducts that are connected between said insole's air-suction pump means and said shoe's air-exit ports. Each air-suction pump in said suction-operated insole has its own associated, one-way, air-valve means. A multiplicity of air vents may now be located anywhere over the entire surface of said insole and still maintain equal, air-suction, operating efficiency for each and every air vent.

  • Patent number: 4754548
Abstract: A flexible, sectionalized razor system is provided for shaving rounded or variably contoured shaving surfaces. The system includes a plurality of individual blade-housings, each of which carries a separate blade, wherein the blade-housings are connected by connecting means of either ribs, resilient foam, soft rubber or spring means to a handle. In the preferred embodiment, the blade housings are arranged in such a fashion so as to avoid unshaved ribbons of the shaving surface caused by gaps between adjacent blade-housings. The blade-housings may be mounted peripendicularly to the direction of shaving or angularly to the direction of shaving. Another embodiment provides two parallel rows of blade-housings wherein one row is staggered with respect to the other row.

  • Patent number: 4720917
Abstract: A flexible blade contour razor system is provided for shaving rounded or variably contoured shaving surfaces. The system includes a long, flexible blade carried by a plurality of blade-holder housings. Said blade-holder housings are connected by connecting means such as ribs, resilient foam, soft rubber or spring means to a handle.Hinges generally connect each blade-holder housing to an adjacent blade-holder housing.Said flexible blade contour razor system is adapted to flex during any single shaving stroke in order to conform to and closely shave any contoured surface of the body. Thus, a uniform, very wide, unbroken shaving swatch is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4346492
Abstract: A power actuated toothbrush is provided wherein the brush consists of a plurality of tufts which are individually driven by means whereby the tufts are forced to move coaxially back and forth against the teeth to give a jackhammer-type action. The tufts may be driven mechanically, or by a fluid drive, preferably pneumatic. The tufts automatically adapt for irregularities in the teeth and gums and enter the sulcus and embrasures for thorough cleaning.

  • Patent number: 4224710
Abstract: A power-actuated toothbrush is provided and in its broadest aspects, the toothbrush brushes both sides of a tooth and penetrates into the embrasures. The bristles extend at an angle to the sides of the teeth whereby the bristles of the brush also enter and clean the sulcus area. In preferred embodiments of the invention, the biting surfaces of the teeth are cleaned simultaneously with the sides of the teeth. In other embodiments of the invention, an entire dental arch or even the entire mouth of teeth is cleaned in a single operation.

  • Patent number: 4223417
Abstract: A Gliding, Mechanized Toothbrush is provided wherein a small box-like member, called the head, having a handle thereon, encloses a pair of brushes adapted to brush both sides of a tooth at the same time. The bristles of these brushes extend at an angle to the sides of the teeth whereby these bristles also enter and clean the sulcus area and embrasures. In the preferred embodiment of this invention, additional brushes clean the biting surfaces of the teeth. A handle is used to pull the head along a row of teeth. Preferably, the head is mounted on a swivel so that the head can be turned relative to the handle, facilitating brushing teeth in various parts of the mouth.
