  • Patent number: 7398620
Abstract: A universal system (100) for support and positioning of building structural support members (20, 30) includes at least one longitudinally extended base plate (110) and at least one fixing member (120, 122). The base plate (110) has a plurality of slotted openings (116) formed therethrough. The fixing member (120, 122) has a pair of longitudinally spaced upstanding support members (1202, 1222) defining a structural member receiving space (118) therebetween. At least one of the upstanding support members (1202) is formed with a pair angularly extending flanges (132) that are elastically angularly displaceable to pass through a respective slotted opening (116) having corresponding portions (1164) at a different angle (C), and then return to their original angle (D) to prevent reversibly passing back through the slot (116).

  • Patent number: 6672014
Abstract: A system (100) for positioning and securing angularly directed structural support members (20) to a longitudinally extended structural member (30) of a building includes at least a pair of mounting devices (105, 105′, 105″) respectively mounted to at least one longitudinally extended structural member (30). Each mounting device (105, 105′, 105″) includes a base plate (110) having a plurality of pairs of fixing members (120, 120′, 120″) disposed in spaced longitudinal relationship. A space (118) between each of the pairs of fixing members (120, 120′, 120″) is provided for receiving the angularly directed structural support member (20) therein. Each of the fixing members (120, 120′, 120″) are formed by angularly directed C-shaped channel members. Each channel member has a central web portion (130) bounded on two vertically directed sides by a pair of flanges (132) expending in a longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6412233
Abstract: A system (100) for positioning and securing structural members (20, 30) to supporting walls (10) of a building includes at least a pair of mounting devices (105) respectively mounted to a pair of longitudinally extended laterally spaced building supporting walls (10). Each mounting device (105) includes a base plate (110) having a plurality of pairs of fixing members (120) disposed in spaced longitudinal relationship. A space (118) between each of the pairs of fixing members (120) is provided for receiving the structural member (20, 30) therein. Each mounting device also includes a pair of second fixing members (122) disposed adjacent opposing ends of the base plate (110). Each of the fixing members (120 and 122) are formed by vertically directed C-shaped channel members. Each channel member has a central web portion (130) bounded on two vertically directed sides by a pair of flanges (132) expending in a longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 4373582
Abstract: This invention relates to a self-contained circulation sub which may be operated upon control from the surface. It may be in the shape of a short section of drill collar and utilizes a sleeve valve to cover the circulation ports. Upon reception of an acoustic signal from the surface, a control valve directs fluid from the pipe bore onto a pressure face on the sleeve valve. The sleeve valve then moves down and exposes the circulation ports thereby allowing drilling fluids to pass from its interior to its exterior.

  • Patent number: 4003435
Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling electrical cable sections having substantially rigid connectors at the end of each section, wherein the entire fixed length of one or more sections of cable are positioned in and removed from a well bore by rapidly inserting and withdrawing a section of cable employing a rig floor assembly in combination with a cable supply and storage apparatus which are respectively provided with means for preventing excessive bending of the cable terminal connectors and the cable conductor at an interface between the conductor and connectors to prevent damage thereto during insertion and removal.

  • Patent number: 4003456
Abstract: A reeling apparatus for supplying, receiving and storing a section of electrical cable having substantially rigid terminal connectors at the ends of the section, wherein apparatus are provided for releasably securing at least one of the electrical cable terminal connectors with a rotatable reel of the apparatus for rotation therewith as the electrical cable is wound on and unwound from the reel, and for releasing the releasably secured terminal connector from the reel upon the unwinding of the cable therefrom to thereby release the entire section of the cable from the reel.
