    Abstract: On one side of a valve shaft, there are provided an accelerator drum connected to an accelerator pedal by an accelerator wire, a return spring for urging the accelerator drum in a valve closing direction, and an accelerator sensor for detecting rotation of the accelerator drum and transmitting a detected signal to a host system. On the other side of the valve shaft, there are provided a large-diameter gear and an opening sensor. An armature of a solenoid clutch is attached to the gear and held on a motor shaft via a slide bearing. Thus, the motor, the solenoid clutch and the throttle valve are arranged into a U-shaped form for interconnection through four gears.

    Abstract: An intake pipe for an internal combustion engine has an intake assembly to which the air supplied from an air cleaner flows in accordance with the opening of a throttle valve, and independent intake pipes receive the air in the intake assembly and distribute the air into each cylinder of the internal combustion engine. The intake passage between the air cleaner and the throttle valve assembly is arranged next to and separated by a partition wall from at least one of a negative pressure part of the intake passage downstream of the throttle vale, the intake assembly provided in the negative pressure part and the independent intake pipes, whereby two independent intake spaces are formed on either side of the partition wall.

    Abstract: A throttle actuator comprising: a body which forms an intake passage; a throttle valve shaft; a throttle valve which is connected to the throttle valve shaft and which adjusts the opening of the intake passage; and a motor which applies torque to the throttle valve shaft. The throttle valve is provided with: a valve shaft lever; an accelerator lever which is operated by means of the accelerator pedal; a floating lever which is positioned between the valve shaft lever and the accelerator lever and which transmits torque to the valve shaft lever in such a direction that the throttle valve opens; a valve returning spring which applies torque to the throttle valve shaft in such a direction that the throttle valve closes; a coupler spring which pulls the accelerator lever and the floating lever toward each other; and an accelerator lever returning spring which applies torque to the accelerator lever in such a direction that the throttle valve closes.

    Abstract: There is disclosed an electrically-operated actuator in which a throttle valve is driven by a combination of the rotation of a motor and the operation of an accelerator by the operator, and besides the rotational force of the motor is not so transmitted to an accelerator pedal. This actuator is further provided with a fail-safe function. A parallelogrammic link is constituted by a link member fixedly mounted on a throttle shaft, a link member rotatably mounted on the throttle shaft and operatively connected to the accelerator pedal via a wire, a link fixedly mounted on a shaft rotatably mounted on the link member, and a link member connected to the link members by pins. The throttle shaft is coaxial with a shaft of the motor. A gear in mesh with a gear fixedly mounted on the motor shaft is fixedly mounted on the shaft, thereby forming a differential gear mechanism. Forces of springs act respectively on the throttle shaft and the link member in a direction to close the throttle valve.
