Patent number: 11972594Abstract: A multifunction peripheral includes a color number conversion determiner. The color number conversion determiner determines whether it is appropriate to perform either an index color process or a full-color process based on a color distribution degree, which is a distribution degree of pixel values of the respective sets of pixel data included in input image data, a photograph area ratio, which is a ratio of photograph area pixel data forming a photograph area to the pixel data, and a color uniformity area ratio, which is a ratio of white base area pixel data forming a white base area to the pixel data.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2022Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: SHARP KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Teruhiko Matsuoka, Akihito Yoshida, Masahiko Takashima

Publication number: 20240103392Abstract: A developing device contact and separation mechanism includes a monochrome operating member, a color operating member, and a rotating member that rotates among a first position for a non-operational state, a second position for color printing, and a third position for monochrome printing. At the first position, the rotating member moves the monochrome developing device to the separated position, via the monochrome operating member, and the color developing device to the separated position, via the color operating member. At the second position, the rotating member moves the monochrome developing device to the contacting position, via the monochrome operating member, and the color developing device to the contacting position, via the color operating member. At the third position, the rotating member moves the monochrome developing device to the contacting position, via the monochrome operating member, and the color developing device to the separated position, via the color operating member.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: KYOCERA Document Solutions Inc.Inventors: Takeshi YOSHIDA, Teruhiko NAGASHIMA, Hirotaka ISHIDA

Publication number: 20090175825Abstract: An antiproliferative effect of IFN-? gene transduction in pancreatic cancer cells. The invention relates to expression of IFN-? to effectively induce growth suppression and cell death in pancreatic cancer cells, an effect which appeared to be more prominent when compared with other types of cancers and normal cells. Another aspect of the invention relates to targeting the characteristic genetic aberration, K-ras point mutation, in pancreatic cancer, and that the expression of antisense K-ras RNA significantly suppresses the growth of pancreatic cancer cells. When these two gene therapy strategies are combined, the expression of antisense K-ras RNA significantly enhanced IFN-?-induced cell death (1.3-3.5 fold), and suppressed subcutaneous growth of pancreatic cancer cells in mice. The invention also relates to a method of suppressing pancreatic cancer cells using double strand RNA formed by antisense and endogeneous K-ras RNA in combination with the anti-tumor activity of IFN-?.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 20, 2009Publication date: July 9, 2009Applicant: Japan Health Sciences Foundation,Inventors: Kazunori AOKI, Teruhiko Yoshida

Patent number: 7514416Abstract: Methods of suppressing growth of pancreatic tumors or cancer cells having a K-ras gene point mutation in a mammal, comprising: administering therapeutically effective amounts of adenoviral vector and antisense K-ras expressing vector to pancreatic cancer cells via intratumoral administration, wherein the adenoviral vector comprises a DNA sequence encoding a human IFN-alpha and operably linked to a promoter, and the pancreatic cancer cells to which the adenoviral vector is administered express the human IFN-alpha; and the antisense K-ras expressing vector comprises an antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence, wherein the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence is operably linked to a promoter, and the pancreatic cancer cells to which the anti-sense K-ras expressing vector is administered express the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence; whereby expression of the human IFN-alpha and the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence suppress growth of pancreatic tumor or cancer cells in the mammal.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2005Date of Patent: April 7, 2009Assignee: Japan Health Sciences FoundationInventors: Kazunori Aoki, Teruhiko Yoshida
