  • Patent number: 8547324
Abstract: An electrophoretic display sheet comprising a display layer, a first electrode, and second electrodes. The display layer has a plurality of reservoir portions filled with a dispersion liquid containing particles. Each of the plurality of reservoir portions has predetermined positions. When an electric field having a direction is generated by applying a voltage to between the first electrode and the second electrodes, the particles are locally gathered to the predetermined positions of each of the plurality of reservoir portions so as to make rows of the particles along the direction of the electric field in the dispersion liquid. The electrophoretic display sheet is capable of exhibiting both superior responsiveness (responsibility) and superior color display performance with high contrast in changing a display color.

  • Publication number: 20050245410
Abstract: The residual amount of a solvent in a water soluble nonionic alkylene oxide resin is decreased in an apparatus including an evaporation vessel and a stirring blade which scrapes-up and coats resin solution onto the inner wall surface of the evaporation vessel. A water soluble nonionic alkylene oxide resin having a crystallization temperature of 10 to 60° C. is extruded to a predetermined thickness in a molten state, the extruded molten resin is brought into contact with a metal surface which is at the crystallization temperature (Tc) or lower, and the thereby solidified resin may be cut into pellets. The resin pellets preferably are of rectangular shape and prescribed dimensions. The resin may be pulverized in a pulverizer by shearing force between a rotary blade and a fixed blade. In the pulverizer, grains smaller than a predetermined size pass through the screen, while larger grains are again pulverized.

  • Patent number: 6084059
Abstract: The present invention provides: a production process for a polyalkylene oxide with fast polymerization reaction rate and good production efficiency; a catalyst for polymerization and a dispersion thereof which are effective for the above production process for a polymer such as polyalkylene oxide; and an organometallic fine particle and a production process therefor, which particle is, for example, useful as the above catalyst for polymerization. In a means therefor, a material such as an aliphatic polyol is reacted upon an organometallic compound in a micelle as the reaction field, thus preparing a hyperfine particle, which is used as a catalyst for polymerization of ionic-polymerizable monomers mainly including a cyclic ether.
