  • Publication number: 20070250319
Abstract: Several feature phrases including combinations of words are predetermined to indicate a feature of a song. TF-IDF values are computed based on appearances counts of the feature phrases. A song feature quantity is computed as a vector constituted by the TF-IDF values. This vector is an index indicating the feature of the song. Using the feature phrases results in proper exclusion of a comment not related to the feature of the song itself in computing the song feature quantity. This allows the song feature quantity to match, with a high accuracy, with a mood generated when the song is actually listened to.

  • Publication number: 20060173689
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a user interface method and a device capable of arbitrarily and efficiently performing the dialog through the speech input in an in-vehicle information service system, and a system configuration which can cope with network connection loss with a center is also provided. In addition, the present invention provides the system configuration in which access from a terminal to the center is not always performed but can be performed arbitrarily according to needs. As a terminal-side configuration, a flexible dialog management unit and a task management unit for performing application management are separated from each other. Furthermore, the terminal configuration has a four-tier structure of a user interface, dialog management, task management, and applications. In addition, means for fetching application information from the center in accordance with needs is provided.

  • Patent number: 6658627
Abstract: The present invention is a system of integrated, computer-based processes for monolingual information development and multilingual translation. An interactive text editor enforces lexical and grammatical constraints on a natural language subset used by the authors to create their text, which they help disambiguate to ensure translatability. The resulting translatable source language text undergoes machine translation into any one of a set of target languages, without the translated text requiring any postediting.

  • Patent number: 5995920
Abstract: A computer-based method and system for monolingual document development, which includes the steps of entering into a text editor input text in a source language, checking the input text against vocabulary source language constraints, and providing interactive feedback relating to the input text if non-constrained source language is present. The method and system also includes the steps of checking for syntactic grammatical errors and semantic ambiguities in the source text, and providing interactive feedback to remove syntactic grammatical errors and semantic ambiguities in the source text.
