    Abstract: The present invention includes a diaphragm disposed to receive, on one surface, a pressure of a first air in an air pipe as a part of a pipe wall of the air pipe coupled to a cuff in a fluid flowable manner. The diaphragm blocks the pressure of the first air in the air pipe in a pressurization process or a depressurization process of the cuff, meanwhile transmits, through this diaphragm, a sound in a frequency band of a Korotkoff sound among sounds traveled through the first air in the air pipe from a measurement target site. A chamber disposed including the diaphragm as a part of a peripheral wall on a side of an other surface of the diaphragm is included. A sound detection device provided to face a second air in the chamber is included.

    Abstract: An electronic sphygmomanometer includes a cuff pressure control unit, a pressure detection unit, and a blood pressure measurement unit that extracts a pulse wave signal and measures blood pressure based on the pulse wave signal. A pulse wave interval calculation unit obtains a data group representing pulse wave intervals based on the pulse wave signal obtained only in one depressurization process for a subject for each one measurement occasion. A determination unit aggregates data groups for three or more measurement occasions to obtain an average value of the pulse wave intervals, and determines whether or not there is a possibility that atrial fibrillation occurred based on whether or not there is data of an irregular pulse wave exceeding an allowable range with respect to the average value.

    Abstract: A sphygmomanometer according to the present invention includes a blood pressure measuring cuff worn around a site to be measured, a pressure device that pressurizes or depressurizes the cuff, and a sound detection device that detects a sound generated by the site to be measured via the cuff. An amplification factor setting unit measures a first passage time required for the pressure of the cuff to pass through a first pressure range in a pressurization process of the cuff, and variably sets an amplification factor for a Korotkoff sound component according to the first passage time. A blood pressure calculation unit receives an output of the sound detection device according to the sound from the cuff, amplifies the Korotkoff sound component included in the output at a set amplification factor, and calculates a blood pressure of the site to be measured.
