  • Publication number: 20120053258
Abstract: A first resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising (A) at least one thermoplastic resin selected from polypropylenes, polystyrenes, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers, polycarbonates, polyethylenes and thermoplastic elastomers, (B) filler such as a crushed shell material or the like, and (C) binder component. A second resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising (A?) thermoplastic resin such as an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer or the like and (B?) crushed shell material, wherein the elastic modulus thereof is 1750 to 2950 MPa. A third resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising (A?) thermoplastic resin and (B?) crushed shell material, wherein the surface hardness thereof measured using a durometer is 12 to 85. The resin compositions of the present invention can provide molded bodies excellent in gloss, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability.

  • Publication number: 20110306692
Abstract: The foamable resin composition of the present invention is characterized by comprising starch, a synthetic resin, an alkaline compound, and water in an amount of 10 to 40 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the starch, wherein the synthetic resin content is 0.02 to 10 wt %. The alkaline compound is preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate, an alkali metal carbonate, an alkali earth metal hydrogen carbonate, and an alkali earth metal carbonate. The foam obtained by using the foamable resin composition of the present invention is free from a practical problem such as cushioning properties and the like, and has a cost advantage as an amount of a synthetic resin is extremely small.

  • Publication number: 20110230576
Abstract: A foamable resin composition according to the present invention comprises starch, an aliphatic polyester and water, and wherein 10 to 40 parts by mass of the water and 10 to 80 parts by mass of the aliphatic polyester are included with respect to 100 parts by mass of the starch. The foamable resin composition preferably comprises 3 to 60 parts by mass of a glycerin with respect to 100 parts by mass of the starch. The whole composition of the foamable resin composition is made of a biodegradable raw material, and the molded product of the composition has excellent water resistance and favorable moldability, is free from problems in mechanical characteristics such as strength, and also has a cost advantage.

  • Publication number: 20110077313
Abstract: A foamable resin composition according to the present invention comprises 10 parts by weight or less, preferably 0.5 to 8 parts by weight of a biodegradable resin and/or polyolefin resin, 10 to 30 parts by weight of water and 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, with respect to 100 parts by weight of a modified starch. The modified starch is preferably at least one of oxidized starches, esterified starches, acetylated starches and cationic starches. The foamable resin composition can maintain strength, etc., of the foamed body obtained at a practical level even though the amount of the biodegradable resin and/or polyolefin resin is reduced as much as possible, and has a cost advantage.

  • Patent number: 5380572
Abstract: A transparent pressure sensitive adhesive label sheet comprises a label film comprising a polyethylene resin of a density of 0.925 to 0.950 g/cm.sup.3 as the main component thereof, having an average of the tensile strength to the MD direction and the tensile strength to the TD direction of 250 kg/cm.sup.2 or more, a 1% secant modulus to the MD direction of 2500 to 5000 kg/cm.sup.2, a haze of 3 to 15% and a gloss of 80% or more and provided with the property suitable for printing by a surface treatment and a release paper laminated with the label film through a layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive material. An opaque pressure sensitive adhesive label sheet is about the same as the above except that it comprises a label film having a total light transmission of 40% or less in place of the haze and the gloss described above.

  • Patent number: 4954391
Abstract: A 10 to 200 .mu.m thick film comprised of high density polyethylene having a density of 0.935 g/cm.sup.3 or more, the high density polyethylene type film having a film surface roughness of 0.001 to 0.15 .mu.m, a coefficient of C axis orientation of the cyrstals in the film (Fc) of 0.10 to 0.50, a difference .DELTA.n of the birefringence of the amorphous portions and crystalline portions in the film of 0.1000 to 0.1070, and a transparency of a haze of less than 10%. Such a film can be produced by passing an original material film through three heating rolls, designated as, for example, the first heating roll (hereinafter referred to as "R.sub.1 "), the second heating roll (hereinafter referred to as "R.sub.2 "), and the third heating roll (hereinafter referred to as "R.sub.3 "), in accordance with the order of the passage of the original material film, at a temperature of R.sub.2 higher than the temperatures of R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 and a temperature of R.sub.2 of 105.degree. C.
