  • Patent number: 9908555
Abstract: A steering control device for an eco-run vehicle drives an actuator so that a transfer ratio between a steering angle and an actual rudder angle is variable. The steering control device includes: a control part that controls a drive of the actuator; an eco-run determining part that receives an eco-run signal and notifies the control part that the eco-run signal is received; and a nonvolatile memory in which a control information on the actuator is able to be written. The control part executes a control restriction that restricts a drive of the actuator, and disables a writing of the control information on the nonvolatile memory, when the eco-run determining part receives the eco-run signal.

  • Patent number: 8350510
Abstract: In a voltage booster apparatus, a charge control transistor is turned on to charge a coil output capacitor and a booster output capacitor and then turned off, thereby confirming rise of a coil output voltage and a booster output voltage. A power supply relay is turned on to restore a booster operation thereby to check rise of the booster output voltage. If both of a step-up FET and a step-down FET are not in short-circuit failure, ON state of the power supply relay is fixed thereby to restore a power steering system operation.

  • Patent number: 8148934
Abstract: A motor control apparatus includes a step-up/down converter and an inverter. The converter includes a coil, MOSFETs, capacitors and a control circuit. The control circuit turns on the MOSFET in the high potential side, while tuning off the MOSFET in the low potential side. After a predetermined time, the control circuit turns off the MOSFET in the high potential side and then turns on the MOSFET in the low potential side. It is checked whether the MOSFET, which is switched in the step-down operation, is normal or abnormal based on the voltages of the capacitors. The capacitors produce specific changes in the respective voltages in correspondence to the check result. Thus, the abnormality of the MOSFET can be determined based on the changes.

  • Patent number: 8135515
Abstract: An electronic control apparatus has a microcomputer including a first CPU and a second CPU configured to perform calculation processing and control processing for a vehicle control device such as a variable gear ratio steering device. The first CPU and the second CPU calculate temporary detection values of an operation amount of an actuator based on a detection signal of a sensor, respectively. The temporary detection values are compared to determine whether the vehicle control device is controllable based on the detection signal of the sensor. Thus, the electronic control apparatus is reduced in size, and calculation results are monitored each other within one microcomputer.

  • Patent number: 8053936
Abstract: In a power supply circuit, first and second loads are connected in parallel to a power source though first and second power lines, respectively. A power line connector connects the first and second power lines together in such a manner that even when one of the first and second power lines is broken, the first and second loads are supplied with electric power from the power source through the other of the first and second power lines. A rectifier device is connected to each of the first and second power lines between the power source and the power line connector. The rectifier device allows an electric current in a direction from the power source to the first and second loads and blocks the electric current in opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 7793755
Abstract: A steering system for a vehicle is disclosed. The steering system includes variable gear ratio steering apparatus, a first ECU for controlling the apparatus, an electric power steering apparatus, a second ECU for controlling the apparatus, The steering system further includes a steering wheel angle sensor and a steering wheel angle ECU, which are integrated. The steering wheel angle sensor detects a steering wheel angle of a steering wheel. The ECU calculates an estimation value of the steering wheel angle of the steering wheel and compare between the estimation value and the detected value of the steering wheel angle. Thereby, the ECU performs a process of determining detection accuracy of the steering wheel angle sensor.
