  • Patent number: 5135314
Abstract: This invention is to provide a ceramic sliding bearing which is possible to support the axis to which the radial load and the thrust load are applied simultaneously or selectively, and also this invention is to provide a bearing having a small number of parts by constructing the inner and the outer rings by means of ceramics.

  • Patent number: 5127745
Abstract: The ceramic bearing constructed by being allowed to contact the ceramic outer ring slidably with the ceramic inner ring is provided with a latching member to prevent the transfer of the ceramic inner ring in the axial direction at the inner or the outer ring of said ceramic product. The bearing constructed by the sliding contact of the ceramic inner ring with the ceramic outer ring can prevent the occurrence of the transfer of the inner ring in the axial direction with respect to the outer ring by providing a latching member which prevents the transfer of the inner ring in the axial direction at the inner or outer ring. Accordingly, there is no anxiety of separation of the outer ring from the inner ring.

  • Patent number: 5102239
Abstract: A ceramic bearing is provided by an outer ring, an inner ring, and a sliding ring fitted between the outer and inner rings. Each of the rings is made from ceramic material. Sliding contact occurs between the sliding ring and the inner ring, and between the sliding ring and the outer ring. Whereas the difference in relative rotation between the respective rings is divided among a plurality of relatively sliding surfaces, the bearing can support increased loads and rotation speeds.

  • Patent number: 5094550
Abstract: A ceramic bearing includes a fixed ring and a rotary ring. The fixed ring has an outer cylindrical surface dimensioned for an interference fit in a bore of a machine. The fixed ring also has an end surface for contacting a bottom of the bore, and an opposite end surface which includes an annular groove. The groove has a curved bottom surface and a pair of opposite wall surfaces. The rotary ring has an inner cylindrical surface dimensioned for receiving a journal of a rotatable shaft. The rotary ring also has an end surface which includes an annular projection. The projection has a curved top surface and a pair of opposite side surfaces. A radial load on the shaft is transmitted to the machine through surface contact of the projection side surfaces and the groove wall surfaces. A thrust load on the shaft is transmitted to the machine through surface contact of the projection top surface and the groove bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 5083873
Abstract: A ceramic bearing is provided by a ceramic inner ring and a ceramic outer ring. The ceramic inner ring includes an axial hole for receiving a shaft at the center of the inner ring. The inner ring further includes an outer cylindrical surface coaxial with the axial hole, and a plane surface extending from the cylindrical surface. The plane surface is perpendicular to the axial hole. The ceramic outer ring includes an inner cylindrical surface which slidably contacts the outer cylindrical surface of the ceramic inner ring, and a plane surface which slidably contacts the plane surface of the ceramic inner ring. The shaft is fixed within the axial hole of the inner ring, and sliding does not occur between the shaft and the inner ring. Accordingly, there is no chance of abrasion on the shaft even after a long period of use.

  • Patent number: 5054940
Abstract: A ceramic bearing comprising a ceramic-made outer ring provided with a non spherical curved inner slide face, and a ceramic-made inner ring provided with an outer slide face so curved as to match with the curved inner slide face formed in the inner circumference of the ceramic outer ring and a shaft hole through which a shaft extends, which shaft extending or passing at the axis of the slide face of the ceramic inner ring coincidently.

  • Patent number: 4776454
Abstract: A conveyer belt having a large number of links each being made of ceramics. The links are endlessly connected to one another in a front portion and a rear portion of each of the large number of links in the running direction of the conveyer belt. One of the links is provided with a fittable groove of an arc-shaped section in a portion opposed to an adjacent link. The fittable groove has an opening opposed to the adjacent link. The width of the opening is smaller than the diameter of the fittable groove. The adjacent link is provided with a columnar fittable axis portion along a surface opposed to the one link. The fittable axis portion is fit in the fittable groove of the one link so that one link and the adjacent link are turnably connected to each other.
