  • Patent number: 9822025
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method for treating soil-contaminated water, the method using a photocatalytic material capable of efficiently removing, by light irradiation alone, volatile organic compounds and heavy metals that give rise to soil contamination. The present invention provides a method for treating soil-contaminated water that detoxifies volatile organic compounds contained in soil-contaminated water using a photocatalytic material, the method being characterized by including the steps of (1) subjecting the soil-contaminated water to a gas-liquid separation to obtain a gas phase, and (2) decomposing the volatile organic compounds contained in the gas phase obtained in step (1) using the photocatalytic material.

  • Patent number: 8597603
Abstract: The present invention provides a new method for decomposing and/or removing hazardous substances using a photocatalytic material. The method of the present invention is sufficiently useful in fields requiring quick decomposition and/or removal of hazardous substances in gas and/or liquid phases. The decomposition method of the present invention using a photocatalytic material enables significantly efficient and rapid decomposition of hazardous substances in gas and/or liquid phases by causing a photocatalytic material to coexist with a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution.

  • Patent number: 7348380
Abstract: A polyester plasticizer which is obtained by reacting a diol component (a) consisting of 100 parts by mole of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 10 to 1000 parts by mole of 3-methyl-1,5-pentanediol and 0 to 1000 parts by mole of other aliphatic diol with an organic dicarboxylic acid components (b) consisting of 100 parts by mole of adipic acid and 0 to 100 parts by mole of other organic dicarboxylic acid and a chain terminator (c) consisting of a monovalent aliphatic alcohol or a monovalent aliphatic organic acid and which has an average molecular weight of 500 to 5000. This plasticizer is excellent in plasticizing efficiency and can impart excellent oil resistance to synthetic resins such as chlorine-containing resins.

  • Patent number: 4988246
Abstract: Apparatus for indicating incomplete and complete fastening of a screw includes a washer and a ring of a generally flat synthetic resin sheet. The washer includes a pair of washer portions of a generally flat, round shape and a joint portion interconnecting the washer portions to face them in opposite directions to enable the washer portions to receive a shank of a screw in the openings thereof. The lengthwise section of the joint portion forms generally a U shape. The ring is made of a generally round, deformable material and is inserted between the pair of washer portions thus facing each other. The deformable material is expanded radially outward, when compressed by the washer portions receiving the shank of the screw when fastened. Upon the compressive force reaching a predetermined value, the ring will be broken due to the pair of washer portions overlaying one another.
