  • Patent number: 7449810
Abstract: In a circular saw, an end plate provided on an end of a rotor core has a cylindrical shaft insulator and a plate extending radially from the shaft insulator. The plate is disposed at a position separated from the end of the rotor core. The plate includes slot parts, and air holes that penetrate the plate in the axial direction of the rotor shaft at areas adjacent to the rotor shaft. Protruding parts are provided on the shaft insulator on both sides of each air hole, extending in the axial direction of the rotor shaft and protruding radially outward with respect to the rotor shaft. The shaft insulator has an outer diameter D1 that is smaller than a diameter D2 of the plate in the slot parts adjacent to the rotor shaft.

  • Patent number: 7350302
Abstract: An outer peripheral surface of a cam has an apex disposed of distance from a rotational axis, a first region adjacent the apex opposite to the direction of rotation that increases in distance from the rotational axis during rotation, and a second region adjacent the apex in the rotational direction that decreases in distance from the rotational axis of the cam with the rotation thereof. The apex is disposed where the phase ? thereof advances by 15 degrees and 55 degrees or less in the rotational direction from a position symmetrical to the rotational axis. The rate of change between the second region and the rotational axis is greater than the rate of change between the first region and the rotational axis. A retreat amount X when a saw blade reaches an uppermost point c from a foremost point is set to 0.8 mm.

  • Publication number: 20070050994
Abstract: An outer peripheral surface of a cam has an apex having a greatest distance from a rotational axis, a first region located on the side of the apex opposite to the direction of rotation and having an increasing distance from the rotational axis with the rotation thereof, and a second region located on the side of the apex in the rotational direction and having a decreasing distance from the rotational axis of the cam with the rotation thereof. The apex is disposed in a position where the phase 0 thereof advances by 15 degrees or more and 55 degrees or less in the rotational direction from a position symmetrical to a center of the pin with respect to the rotational axis. The rate of change in the distance between the second region and the rotational axis is set to be greater than the rate of change in the distance between the first region and the rotational axis. • Patent number: 7103979
Abstract: Fanned air generated by a fan to cool a motor is discharged from a housing through fanned air discharge ports toward an opening formed in a base. The fanned air discharged toward the opening is then introduced into a groove in fluid communication with the opening. The groove is formed in a bottom surface of the base and has an open side at a front side of the base. The fanned air is then discharged from the front side of the base, blowing off saw dust on a cutting object so as to prevent dust from accumulating on a marking line on the cutting object.
