Abstract: A motor includes a rotor, a stator having a core, end brackets, and plural binders. The stator core has plural layers and a plurality of axially extending dovetail grooves in its cylindrical outer surface and arranged at predetermined spacing around its circumference. The brackets are each a bottomed cylinder with a bearing bottom portion supporting the rotor shaft. Plural projections are formed at the axially inner end of each of the brackets and project axially inward into the dovetail grooves. Plural axially extending grooves are formed on the cylindrical outer surface of each of the brackets at predetermined spacing around the circumference with the grooves of the two brackets being axially aligned. • Patent number: 6591148
Abstract: A numerical control device for synchronously controlling the movement of a plurality of axes of a machine by repeatedly controlling a cyclic motion. An axis of the machine is designed to stop at a predetermined position upon the occurrence of an emergency stop. To achieve this stop position, an amount of retraction is set up to a position where a tool of machine does not interfere with a work piece or other obstacles. When an emergency stop signal is entered during a binary operation, because of an occurrence of an abnormality, a movement control amount for each period, corresponding to a set amount of retraction, is added to the movement control amount for each period of the binary operation and the axis is thereby driven by the resultant modified movement control amount. The binary operation is stopped upon the reaching of the stop position, and the tool can be held at this retracted position, by the set amount of retraction.

  • Patent number: 5852276
Abstract: A laser machining resuming method in which the laser machining can be securely resumed without leaving an un-machined portion when machining is interrupted while laser machining is being carried out. When laser machining is performed a distance of L.sub.0 from a machining point (P1) and abnormal machining is sensed at a machining point (P3), a CNC starts a retry processing in response to an abnormal machining sensing signal. That is, first, the laser machining is stopped and the position of the machining point (P3) at the time is stored. Next, the machining head is retracted a distance h.sub.0 in a Z-axis direction and moved backward a distance L.sub.2 along a machining path L having been executed until that time. When the backward movement is completed at a point (P6), a gap between a nozzle and a workpiece is controlled, and the laser machining is resumed on the completion of the approach.

  • Patent number: 5384523
Abstract: A three-dimensional laser coordinate transformation system for a three-dimensional laser machining apparatus includes a preprocessing calculation unit (4) decodes a machining program stored in a memory (2) and outputs a command value for each axis. Coordinate transformation unit (8, 9) transform the command value into a command value on the coordinate system of an actual workpiece by a coordinate transformation matrix, and the transformed coordinate command value is interpolated by an interpolation means (11) to output an interpolation pulse. Servo motors (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) are driven in response to the interpolation pulse to thereby machine the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5324908
Abstract: A method of canceling a short circuit in a wire cut electric discharge machine, capable of speedily and surely canceling the short circuit generated in not only the wire advancing direction but also the perpendicular direction to the advancing one. When the short circuit is detected, the wire is reversed by determined distance L.sub.O, and if the short circuit is not canceled at that time, it is determined that the short circuit occurs in the perpendicular direction to the wire advancing one sequentially, machining profiles and the wire position are determined so that the optimum reversible control can be performed, thus the reversing direction and distance of the wire being determined. Further, the optimum reversible control is carried out on the basis of the determined reversing direction and distance, and the wire is returned to the position where the short circuit is initially detected if the cancellation of the short circuit is detected, thus the electric discharge machining being restarted.

  • Patent number: 5239159
Abstract: Disclosed is a nozzle movement system for a laser machining equipment for moving the nozzle of a CNC laser machining equipment when carrying out a three-dimensional machining of a machining surface of a workpiece. A hand coordinate system composed of the axial direction of the nozzle and the plane perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle is provided, and a movement command on the hand coordinate system is output by using a machine operation panel (31). A matrix creation means (38) creates a conversion matrix from the hand coordinate system to a basic coordinate system, based on the rotational position data stored in registers (39a, 39b) of an .alpha.-axis and .beta.-axis exhibiting the attitude of the nozzle. A coordinate conversion means (37) converts movement commands (.DELTA.xh, .DELTA.yh and .DELTA.zh) on the hand coordinate system to amounts of movement (.DELTA.x, .DELTA.y and .DELTA.z) on the basic coordinate system, by using the conversion matrix, and moves the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5216222
Abstract: An attitude control system controls the attitude of a nozzle of a CNC laser beam machining apparatus with respect to a workpiece surface being three-dimensionally machined thereby. An interpolator (1) for interpolating values with respect to .alpha.-, .beta.-, X-, Y-, and Z-axes produces interpolation outputs (P.alpha., P.beta.) for the .alpha.- and .beta.-axes. The interpolation output (P.alpha.) for the .alpha.-axis is read by a corotation compensator (2), which calculates a corotation corrective (.DELTA..beta.) depending on the gear ratio of gears by which horizontal and vertical shafts of the .beta.-axis are coupled to each other. The corotation corrective (.DELTA..beta.) is added to the interpolation output (P.beta.) for the .beta.-axis by an adder (4), making it possible to compensate for a corotation with respect to a desired gear ratio of the gears by which horizontal and vertical shafts of the .beta.-axis are coupled to each other.

  • Patent number: 5148706
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for selecting a mattress. The amounts of elastic deformation in a plurality of points of a measuring mattress having a predetermined hardness are electrically detected by pressure sensors. Based on the electric signals generated from the pressure sensors, a first average value in the amounts of deformation in the head portion and the leg portion of the user and a second average value in the amounts of deformation in the other portions of the user are calculated in a control device. First and second straight lines denoting these first and second average values, respectively, are displayed on a display device together with a mark designating the hardness of a mattress adapted to the user. The optimum hardness of the mattress is determined on the basis of the difference in the amount of deformation between the first and second straight lines, so as to enable the user to select a mattress of a hardness adapted to the user.
