  • Patent number: 7315416
Abstract: A screen panel includes a rigid glass, a lenticular lens and a Fresnel lens laminated with each other, and the edges of the screen panel are sealed. An air evacuation path is formed between the lenses by wires inserted between the contact surfaces of the lenses, or by convexes or concaves previously formed on one of the contact surfaces. Because of the provision of the air evacuation path, the air between the lenses of the screen panel is sufficiently evacuated, and the lenses can closely attached to each other. Therefore, the flatness of the screen panel can be enhanced, and the degradation of the image quality can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040240055
Abstract: A rear projection screen of the type which allows a projected light beam incident thereon to pass therethrough to a viewer side includes a Fresnel lens sheet, and a lenticular lens plate opposed to the Fresnel lens sheet. The Fresnel lens sheet is in the form of a thin sheet made of a resin, and converts the projected light beam incident thereon into substantially collimated light to direct the substantially collimated light outwardly toward the viewer side. • Patent number: 6709112
Abstract: It is an object to obtain a light source device and a projection type display device in which a fragment can be completely enclosed therein even if a discharge lamp bursts during lighting. During normal lighting of a discharge lamp (1), an internal space of a light source device (10) and an external space are spatially connected to each other through a vent hole (43) formed on a cutoff valve mechanism (45) and a vent hole (100) formed on a concave reflecting mirror (4). Cooling air is introduced and discharged between the internal space and the external space so that the discharge lamp (1) is cooled down. When the discharge lamp (1) bursts during lighting for some reason, a very strong impulsive pressure wave is generated in a moment of the burst. The pressure wave presses a movable valve (41) provided in the cutoff valve mechanism (45) through the vent hole (100).

  • Patent number: 6276222
Abstract: According to the present invention, insulating paper immersed in an oil is heated and deteriorated at a temperature up to 110° C. which is in an operating temperature region for an oil-filled electric apparatus, and the value of the degree of the polymerization which decreases with the deterioration of the insulating paper and amount of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide which is generated by the heat decomposition of the insulating paper and which is dissolved in the insulating oil are used to observe the generation rate thereof. The present invention is a method of evaluating deterioration characteristics of insulating paper from the change of the degree of polymerization with passage of time and from the temperature dependence of the gas generation rate. The deterioration of the insulating paper has different aspects in the regions higher and lower than 110° C., and the deterioration characteristics of the insulating paper on the low temperature side can be accurately evaluated.

  • Patent number: 5864374
Abstract: A dichroic mirror for reflecting red light for optical separating and a dichroic mirror for reflecting red light for optical synthesizing are installed on the same plane in an image generating apparatus of the present invention. In addition, a dichroic mirror for reflecting blue light for optical separating and a dichroic mirror for reflecting blue light for optical synthesizing are installed on the same plane. Accordingly, a compact configuration can be realized. Since a main reflecting mirror is a rotating elliptic mirror and a lamp is located on a focus or around the focus, a lighting equipment which irradiates conic luminous flux can be realized.

  • Patent number: 5355194
Abstract: An optical processing apparatus utilizing multiple reflections of a light beam between a mask and a reflector has improved uniformity in the distribution of the light beam over a surface of the mask. In one form, the reflector is disposed in a face-to-face relation with respect to the mask with an angle of inclination relative thereto. In another form, the reflector has a flat or curved taper surface for decreasing an angle of reflection of the light beam at the mask surface at an initial stage, and a flat surface disposed in parallel with the mask surface. In a further form, the reflector is curved in a direction of transmission of the light beam. In a yet further form, an angle of incidence of the light beam is properly adjusted such that a portion of the light beam, which is first reflected from the mask and escapes outwardly from the reflector, is minimized.

  • Patent number: 5309776
Abstract: In a method of diagnosing the deterioration of the insulating paper in an oil-filled electric apparatus, the total amount of furfural is determined by adding the amount of furfural adsorbed on the insulating paper to the amount of furfural dissolved in insulating oil in an oil-filled electric apparatus, and the deterioration of the insulating paper is diagnosed by the correlation between the total amount of furfural determined and the polymerization degree of the insulating paper, which indicates the degree of deterioration thereof. The method thus permits the precise diagnosis of the deterioration of the insulating paper.
