  • Patent number: 6771335
Abstract: There is provided a light diffusion sheet comprising a light diffusion layer formed on a transparent substrate and containing a binder resin and resin particles that impart an uneven surface, wherein the light diffusion sheet has a total light transmission of 70.0% or more, haze of 80.0% or more, and a distinctness of transmission image of 25.0% or more. This light diffusion sheet is high luminance in the front direction, is excellent in light-diffusing property, does not require use of an expensive prism sheet which is readily susceptible to surface damage, and does not require careful handling.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 2001
Date of Patent: August 3, 2004
    Assignee: Kimoto Co., Ltd.
    Inventors: Yoshihisa Kimura, Teruo Ohnuma
  • Patent number: 6602596
Abstract: There is provided a light diffusion sheet comprising a light diffusion layer formed on a transparent substrate and containing a binder resin and resin particles that impart an uneven surface, wherein the uneven surface of the light diffusion layer exhibits an arithmetical mean deviation of 2.0 &mgr;m or more in three-dimensional surface roughness measurement and/or ten point height of irregularities of 10.0 &mgr;m or more in three-dimensional surface roughness measurement. This light diffusion sheet is high luminance in the front direction, is excellent in light-diffusing property, and is resistant to damage.

  • Patent number: 6239911
Abstract: A view angle control sheet comprising a non-oriented light permeable polymer layer having cracks of regular directionality is disclosed. The view angle control sheet of the present invention has good view angle control property and can easily be obtained at low cost. The sheet having good view angle control property with respect to two or more directions can also easily be obtained as required at low cost. The view angle control sheet of the present invention can be used in office equipment displays, automobile meters, outdoor displays, windows and the like to desirably control view angles.
