Patent number: 6046628Abstract: In a demodulating device which comprises an orthogonal transforming circuit, an up-converting circuit, a pulse signal producing circuit, and a low-pass filter, the orthogonal transforming circuit orthogonally transforms a received frequency shift keying signal to produce a first base band signal and a second base band signal. A phase converting circuit converts a clock signal from a clock signal producing circuit to produce a first clock signal having a first phase and a second clock signal having a second phase. A first EXOR circuit receives the first base band signal and the first clock signal to produce a first EXOR output signal. A second EXOR circuit receives the second base band signal and the second clock signal to produce a second EXOR output signal. A mixing circuit mixes the first EXOR output signal and the second EXOR output signal to produce and supply an up-converted signal to the pulse signal producing circuit.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1998Date of Patent: April 4, 2000Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Teruo Sasaki

Patent number: 5949280Abstract: A multivalued FSK demodulation window comparator includes an MSB comparator, an LSB comparator, a reception electric field strength detector, and a reference voltage generating circuit. The MSB comparator determines at least the polarity of a frequency shift of a radio frequency. The LSB comparator determines the absolute value of the frequency shift of the radio frequency. The reception electric field strength detector detects the strength of a radio signal and outputs a signal corresponding to the detected strength. The reference voltage generating circuit changes the reference voltages of the LSB comparator in accordance with an output voltage from the reception electric field strength detector. When the output voltage from the reception electric field strength detector is not higher than a predetermined level, a reference voltage from the reference voltage generating circuit changes.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 1997Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Nec CorporationInventor: Teruo Sasaki

Patent number: 5261200Abstract: The present invention relates to a vibration-proofing device which supports an upper structure, such as a building, computers and other machines or a floor having such machines mounted thereon, on a lower structure, as a foundation, to allow the upper structure to swing, thereby isolating earthquakes, traffic vibrations and vibrations from the equipment installed in another room so as to protect the upper structure from vibrations. The invention is to provide a bearing type of vibration-proofing device which is simple in construction and capable of reliably absorbing not only horizontal but also vertical components of earthquakes, traffic vibrations and other vibrations, whether they are weak or strong, and which properly operates under low load and produces little vibration during operation. The invention provides an arrangement wherein interposed between upper and lower structures are rolling bodies for horizontally supporting the upper structure for swing movement.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1992Date of Patent: November 16, 1993Assignee: Sumitomo Gomu Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Teruo Sasaki, Kazuhiro Fujisawa, Akemi Kawanabe, Yoshiaki Miyamoto, Seinosuke Kato

Patent number: 5233800Abstract: The present invention relates to an earthquake-proofing device wherein a superstructure is placed and supported for horizontal movement on a foundation structure so as to increase the natural vibration period of the superstructure, thereby protecting the superstructure against earthquake energy and traffic vibration. More particularly, the outer periphery of an elastic body, visco-elastic body or viscous body which hardly exhibits rigidity by itself is surrounded by a restrainer which restrains it from bulging outward, thereby enabling the body to develop high vertical rigidity while allowing it to retain horizontal deformability, the body being used as a load carrier. The restrainer and/or load carrier absorbs vibration energy by frictional damping action.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1992Date of Patent: August 10, 1993Assignees: Sumitomo Gomu Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha, Sumitomo Kensetsu Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Teruo Sasaki, Yoshiaki Miyamoto, Makoto Sakuraoka
