Patent number: 8513523Abstract: A terminal relay member includes a plurality of relay terminals, each of which has a body section in which an opening is formed so as to penetrate the body section, and a terminal section to be connected to the circuit board; and a covering section for covering the body sections. The covering section includes holes corresponding to the openings. The opening is configured so that, by inserting a terminal pin of a connector to the opening, a part of the body section around the opening is deformed toward an inner wall of the hole of the covering section to contact the terminal pin.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2009Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignees: Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd, Furukawa Automotive Systems, Inc.Inventors: Tsugio Ambo, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Tetsu Hirose

Patent number: 8033843Abstract: A pivoting lever has tongue-like movable pieces formed in a squared U-shape on both side faces of a cover member, and locking claws at intermediate parts of the movable piece. A pivoting lever is pivotally supported on a support pin of the cover member. Circular arc-shaped cam grooves are formed in a lever body part, and locking holes engaging locking claws are formed in the lever body part. When a mating housing is pressed into a housing and the lever is pivoted, the cam grooves drive a driven pin and pull the mating housing toward the housing. The lever contacts the locking claws, and pivots the locking claws while pushing them down. When the housings are joined, the locking claws returned to the original positions fitted into the locking holes, setting the lever to a locked state, thereby disabling further rotation and reverse rotation of the lever.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2008Date of Patent: October 11, 2011Assignee: Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Tsugio Ambo, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Satoshi Uramatsu, Tetsu Hirose

Patent number: 8021199Abstract: An electric connector capable of fixing a small connection terminal by a large locking force. Two housings having a plurality of connection terminals are placed vertically symmetrically with their open surfaces facing each other, and a holder having a lock is interposed between the open surfaces of the housings. An assembly of the housings and the holder is accommodated in an outer cover, and a bottom cover is fixed to the bottom of the outer cover. The connection terminals are rigidly prevented from moving backward and vertically by the housings and the holder, and from moving forward by a front wall of the outer cover.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2008Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Tsugio Ambo, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Tetsu Hirose

Patent number: 7883361Abstract: A connection member of simple structure having a high reliability and capable of performing electric cable branching is provided. Connection portions of a plurality of electric cable terminals having an electric cable are respectively inserted into an electric cable terminal insertion hole of a holding body. Cylindrical contact points of the connection portions are aligned in a pin terminal insertion hole and a pin terminal is inserted into the pin terminal insertion hole. The pin terminal is successively inserted into the cylindrical contact points of the electric cable terminals arranged in parallel in the pin terminal insertion hole so that the pin terminal is electrically connected to the plurality of connection portions and the connection portions are short-circuited with one another.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2006Date of Patent: February 8, 2011Assignee: Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Tsugio Ambo, Michiyasu Watanabe, Tomokazu Matsumoto, Tatsuyuki Amano, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Tetsu Hirose

Publication number: 20090221190Abstract: An electric connector housing that is, even though small in size, capable of fixing a connection terminal with large engagement force. An upper cover (22) is placed on a holder (21) where a connection terminal (11) is fixed, and the holder (21) and the upper cover (22) are connected by a locking mechanism. In this state, the holder (21) and the upper cover (22) firmly prevent the connection terminal (11) from moving in a front-rear direction and a top-bottom direction. The connector housing cooperates with a mating connector to cause connector terminals to be fitted together, and functions as a connector.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2006Publication date: September 3, 2009Applicant: Mitsubishi Cable Industries, LTD.Inventors: Tsugio Ambo, Yukifumi Machida, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Michiyasu Watanabe, Tetsu Hirose

Patent number: 7393233Abstract: In an electrical connector assembly, housings are locked with each other by locking a rear holder provided in a first connector with a cooperating second connector. In a rear holder main body 52 of a rear holder 51 there are formed a plurality of resilient clamping lances 53 which clamp connection terminals 67 inserted into respective terminal receiving holes 62 formed in a housing main body 61. At a middle upper portion of the rear holder 51 there is provided a resilient locking arm 54, and a locking claw 55 is formed on the locking arm. When the housing main body 61 is inserted into a housing main body 71 of a cooperating connector, connection terminals 67 and 72 are coupled with each other. The locking claw 55 provided on the locking arm 54 of the rear holder 51 is engaged with a locking portion 73 of the housing main body 71 of the cooperating second connector.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2003Date of Patent: July 1, 2008Assignees: FCI, Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Yukifumi Machida, Shinji Yamaguchi, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Makoto Enari, Tetsu Hirose

Patent number: 7252556Abstract: A front end 7 of a locking arm 4 provided on a rear holder 1 is inserted into a hole portion 25 formed in a main housing 21, and the locking arm 4 is supported like as a bridge. The main housing 21 is inserted into a hood portion 44 of a cooperating housing 41 and connecting terminals are connected to each other to establish the electrical connection. A locking claw 5 formed on the locking arm 4 is once resiliently moved downward to pass through a locking claw 43 of the cooperating housing 41 and is then restored into an original posture to engage the locking claw 5 with the locking claw 43. Once the main housing 21 is engaged with the cooperating housing 41, these housings could not be released accidentally.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2004Date of Patent: August 7, 2007Assignees: FCI, Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Tsugio Anbo, Yoshikazu Tanaka, Tetsu Hirose, Gerard Mulot, Claude Casses
