Abstract: A corrugated fin of a heat exchanger is formed such that fin sections are joined together one after another in a tube axial direction of a plurality of flat heat-transfer tubes. Louvers in the fin sections of the corrugated fin are divided into a first louver group formed further upstream in a direction of flow of air than a drain slit in the corrugated fin and a second louver group formed further downstream in the direction of flow of air than the drain slit. Plate portions of the first louver group and plate portions of the second louver group are inclined to a flat-plate portion in the fin sections and inclined in respective directions that are opposite to each other. The drain slit includes a plurality of drain slits provided in a plurality of respective rows between the first louver group and the second louver group.

Abstract: A client terminal, such as mobile terminal, stores a version number of its installed data or control program and transmits a request message to the server system via a communication network in response to an event triggered by a user of the client terminal, the request message containing the version number of the data and a phone number of the client terminal. The server system stores most recent data and a version number of the most recent data. When the server system receives the transmitted request, it compares the version number contained in the received request to the stored version number and transmits a copy of the most recent data and the version number of the most recent data to the client terminal via the communication network if there is a mismatch between the compared version numbers.

Abstract: A multimedia value-added services providing system allowing a user to easily obtain desired value-added services is disclosed. A control server controls a plurality of value-added service servers. A gateway server connected to the control server and a terminal includes a translator for performing a translation between information according to a protocol used in each of the value-added service servers and information according to a generalized description language operable in a user's terminal. The gateway server provides a unified interface to the terminal such that the terminal is allowed to gain access to any of the value-added service servers under a single interface condition.

Abstract: A data conversion system allowing the processing load of character set conversion at a terminal side to be minimized is disclosed. A terminal sends a terminal-supported character code to a gateway 11 when transmitting a data request to the server. In response to the data request received from the terminal, the gateway receives the contents data from the server. When a character code of the contents data is different from the terminal-supported character code, the character code of the contents data is converted to the terminal-supported character code at the gateway and then the contents data of the terminal-supported character code is transmitted to the terminal.
