  • Patent number: 7800626
Abstract: The center line and lines at the right and left end parts are inputted to a base image from which a texture image is to be mapped, and a position of the base image closest to the view point is inputted as a point closest to the user. Right side of the point closest to the user of the body is approximated by one quarter of circle, and the left side is approximated by another quarter of circle so as to generate an elliptical arc representative of the horizontal cross-sectional shape of the body. The texture image is then mapped to the body using that elliptical arc. Thus mapping of the texture image to the body can be performed easily.

  • Publication number: 20070240292
Abstract: For formation of a yarn image of melange yarn, layers of image having multiple types of fibers of differentiated colors arranged randomly are piled one upon another into a stack of multiple layers. The degree of transparency is determined from the brightness of each of the fibers, and an image synthesis is carried out with respect to the image layers piled one upon another, thereby forming a yarn image of melange yarn. Thus, a yarn image can be formed without any test production of melange yarn. Further, there can be realized a real expression of texture sensation owing to vertical piling of differentiated colors.

  • Patent number: 6895787
Abstract: An object of the invention is to quickly display a simulation image of knitting stitches approximate to an actually knitted fabric. When an image is present in the position of the knitting stitches 12, 13 corresponding between an upper layer 1 and a lower layer 2, the images of knitting stitches for pattern 11 or transformed knitting stitches 12, 13 in the upper layer 1 having the highest priority are displayed. In each layer, it is possible to perform an editing operation of selecting combinations of knitting stitches previously registered in a form of module from a library and changing the position and the shape of the image of the knitting stitches. The knitting stitches in the periphery of the knitting stitch for a pattern 11 are substituted for the transformed knitting stitches 12, 13 reflecting the influence of the making of the knitting stitch for pattern.
