    Abstract: A cassette tape reel comprising a hub having a cut portion which is narrow at the entrance portion and wide at the inner portion and a tape locking piece having an elliptic section, the cassette tape reel being arranged to fasten the tape by placing the tape in the cut portion of the hub and, then, inserting the tape locking piece to the cut portion and turning it therein, the cassete tape reel being arranged so that the tape is fastened more strongly when a force is applied to the tape.
