  • Publication number: 20020176348
Abstract: A skew of an optical pickup device can be adjusted by a movable-side member itself which holds thereon an objective lens, A holder which holds an objective lens is supported by four spring wires such that it can be moved in the focusing direction and the tracking direction of an optical disk. A center of a magnetic circuit which drives the holder is shifted in the outer peripheral side relative to the optical disk. Elastic force of the spring wires of the inner peripheral side is suppressed by increasing the amount of a gel material bonded to the spring wires located on the inner peripheral side of the optical disk as a damping material as compared with the amount of the gel material bonded to the spring wires located on the outer peripheral side.

  • Patent number: 6124426
Abstract: A method for removing volatile materials, comprises adding a blowing aid to a polymer composition containing volatile materials, mixing them in a static mixing apparatus, and extruding the resultant mixture by an extruding apparatus into a devolatilizing tank, thereby the mixture is made to be blown, to cause removal of the volatile materials. First, the blowing aid (6) is discharged with an addition nozzle apparatus (2), in a direction opposite to the direction of the flow of the polymer composition (1), to be added, and the polymer composition is introduced into the static mixing apparatus (3), at a pressure at which the blowing does not take place, thereby mixing them. Then, using the extruding apparatus (11), the resultant mixture is extruded into the devolatilizing tank (4), so that the polymer is made into a blown product at such a temperature and a pressure that the blowing coefficient B is 1.4 or more, thereby causing the removal of volatile materials.

  • Patent number: 5250787
Abstract: An optical-disk playback apparatus is disclosed which plays back an optical-disk on which control programs defining the operations of the optical-disk playback apparatus and other information are recorded. Such optical-disk playback apparatus is operable by a combination of an optical-disk, such as a laser disk or CD, and printed materials on which barcodes are printed. Predetermined programs are recorded defining the operation of the optical-disk playback apparatus corresponding to the barcodes. As a result, variable, complex and yet flexible optical-disk playback operations which are not fixed at the initial system designing stage can be accomplished by simply tracing the printed barcode. The operation of the optical-disk playback apparatus is controlled by the control programs recorded in the optical disk.

  • Patent number: 5155600
Abstract: A video disk playback apparatus for playing back video image information recorded on a disk, such as a laser disk. The information recorded in the disk is read out as playback signals, which are separated into an analog composite video signal, digital data and digital audio data. The analog composite video signal is either directly reproduced as a moving picture, or is converted into digital composite video data and stored in a video data memory. On the other hand, the digital data is converted into digital video data having the same format as the digital composite video data and is stored in the same video data memory as the digital composite video data. The digital data being read out from the disk, such as track number and frame number, are converted into a format that can be recorded into the video data memory, and hence the video data memory for storing the digital composite video data can be shared, so that a memory circuit for the digital video data is not needed.

  • Patent number: 4512010
Abstract: A control system for a linear tracking arm in a record player. A signal representative of a tracking error angle of the arm is, after A/D conversion, supplied to a microprocessor for producing a control signal which controls an arm drive device so that the tracking error angle constantly remains zero. For invalidating an offset quantity possibly produced in the output of a tracking error angle detecting sensor due to changes in the characteristic thereof, a signal produced by the sensor when the arm is lifted in precedence to the playback operation is stored in a memory of the microprocessor. During the playback, the tracking error angle is detected with reference to the stored value. An average moving speed of the arm is measured for discriminating transient increasing in the speed of the arm caused by eccentricity of the disc from the increasing of the speed caused by the arm entering a lead-out groove of the disc.
