Abstract: A video playback apparatus for playing back a recorded program video which is connected with an ECG server for providing information related to a program through a communication network includes a designation information transmitting portion to transmit designation information designating a program containing a specific recorded program video to the ECG server, a related information receiving portion to receive a related information associated with the designated program, which is selected from related information each containing an ECG scenario related to each program video constituting a program and a scheduled time of each program video and stored in association with the program, from the ECG server, and a display/playback control portion to control display of the ECG scenario related to the specific program video in synchronization with playback of the specific program video based on the scheduled time of the program video.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying image has plural display devices for receiving and flashing still images to provide a consecutive image, which are arranged along a route of a mobile object. The apparatus has a speed detection device for detecting a traveling speed of the object and a control section for allowing a flash pulse supplied to the display devices to be generated, based on the traveling speed of the object. The apparatus has a display control section for controlling the display devices, which includes an image memory for storing data on plural separate still images and a light emission drive section for driving the display panel to which the flash pulse is supplied, thereby to flash sequentially the still images on the display panel. The display control section selects the plural still images sequentially one-by-one and writes the data on still images into the display panel.

Abstract: A magneto-optical disc device (1) writes data, for each sector, onto a magneto-optical disc (2) using an optical head portion (21) which outputs light onto the magneto-optical disc, at which time the data on the magneto-optical disc (2) is erased and after data is erased, data is written onto the magneto-optical disc (2), and the original data is then verified against the written data for each sector. Data verification is continued even when a verification error is detected, and at the end of data verification, data verification is again performed for sectors in which verification errors are detected, based on the position information for sectors stored in memory (16).

Abstract: A video display apparatus with a plurality of display devices arrayed in a line with a predetermined interval at portions which may be watched by passengers on a moving vehicle, a video signal supplying device for supplying a still picture video signal to the plurality of display devices, and an intermittent display control dence for energizing the plurality of display devices simultaneously and controlling a still picture video signal display time and a video display stop time at such an interval as to obtain a clear picture. A video signal which represents successive motions on the whole of a picture as seen from a moving vehicle is supplied to respective display devices. Since a picture is given by an electrical signal, it is sufficient that the contents of the picture may be changed by rewriting the contents of a video memory. Therefore, any pictures may be displayed, and a plurality of pictures may also be displayed.

Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing thermoelectric devices includes two conductive strip receiving fixtures, a thermoelectric element receiving fixture and a u-shaped member. The conductive strip receiving fixtures act to retain the strips in proper registry during the processing steps of screen printing insulating material, or solder paste thereon as well as during attachment of thermoelectric elements thereto. The element receiving fixture is complemental with either of the strip receiving fixtures to maintain the elements in place during the coupling of the elements to the strips in one of the strip receiving fixtures. The strip receiving fixtures are complemental with the u-shaped member to complete the coupling of the elements to the strips such that the elements are coupled thermally in parallel and electrically in series. The u-shaped member also facilitates the introduction of a ceramic potting compound therebetween.Also disclosed is a method for manufacturing a thermoelectric device.
